Medleys getting whooped, but then again he's trying to trade jabs on the outside with his chin in the air and his right away from his face, unlike the African who has solid D and drives forward with the jab. Damage is building up, needs a bit of a miracle :!:
I think the African has intimidated Medley a fair bit through the fight, Medley seems reluctant to get the front foot, moves back and lets the African come forward with the jab, pretty much negating Medleys longer reach. Medley had a bit of success inside early but, he lets the African come forward with the jab then let the combinations rip behind it, African always gets off first inside.
Medley landed a couple of decent right hands in the later rounds, thought the African felt them, but by then he was his confidence was to far gone to follow it up. Damn shame because when he followed up those right hands in the 12th he has the African all over the place, if he decided to do that in the 8th it could've been a different fight. Decison came through, lopsided, 119-109 *3 Anyone who picked against Medley can now take their points and bow their head in shame :bart
Medley was just intimidated by the task ahead i think and turned it on too late in rd 12 where he had the African where he should have had him from round 4. The uppercut should have come out a lot more. Medley threw one in rd 2 and landed and didn't throw it again til 11. Hopefully he'll pick himself up and get something good from the loss.
Ok good work, i thought we could only edit for 2 minutes after. o well, im going for julio anyways. Damn Medley nearly got ko'd in the 5th round. IMO he showed too much respect, his corner should have told him he was gonna lose and he was losing, so go out and just turn it into a fight, imo. But in the last he did do that and still got rocked. oh well 4 points n the prediction league for me and everyone else who picked isaac Also Geales' ko was pretty good too
Toldyas Onikeke was getting worse. Nakbalee almost won a shut out last night. I know Nakbalee was way overweight but for those who actually said Onikeke was improving his defence and getting better....getting schooled for 12 rds doesn't really prove it.
I will bow my head but it wont be in shame as because i am so far down the list i went with my brain this time instead of my heart in picking Isaac. Im not affraid to say it either that Medley was good but i just couldnt see him beating anyone with decent skill. I feel for him but hey he should have gone in there after a KO not tried to outbox a Boxer.
He can improve a lot fairly easily though, he's got some flaws that wouldn't be impossible to fix, right too low, chin in the air, but when you've been boxing that long and still do those sorts of things, you wonder if he can change.
Great learning curve fight for Medley. Nothing to be ashamed of losing a wide points decision against a welterweight ranked around 10 in the world.
