Vargas does not rely on his punching power as much as Mayorga does though. The power of Mayorga has clearly gone down as he has gone up in weight.

Its still a dangerous fight to bet on though, because both guys are pretty shot. It will be interesting to see how much they both have left.

Yeah they both are not what they once were.
Yeah if Mayo catches vargas with one of those big overhand rights the fight will be over.
Whereas it is going to take more than one big shot from vargas to put Mayo out.
If it was the Vargas from the Quartey fight, he would wipe the floor with Mayo, but it is not.
Also Imo Mayorga cannot give away any free shots ala, forrest, Trinidad.
With that when i make my picks tomorrow, ill pick Vargas, but will not be surprised if Mayorga wins by ko.

I think that Mayorga relies more on his natural strength and speed then Vargas though, as Vargas is a better technical fighter. As Mayorga is on the decline, a big part of his game will have taken a down fall. Not to mention that his lifestyle (smoking and drinking heavily) will almost certainly have caught up to him.

Haha yeah remember when he used to have the cigars in the ring and he used to drink heaps and it didnt really affect him back then, but now it has.

Its ok Marcus stick with Mayorga. I know iam im not falling for Vargas at all.

He is way to unmotivated and also hasnt been in action for like ever.

Did you see Vargas in the weigh in pictures. He looks fat and out of shape.

    Mayorga by TKO.
