Not interested, sorry to say. His rankings, for all classes, are among the worst I've ever seen.

Sure it'll be a lovely read mind you.

Cannot see Bowe that high. Not even H2H.

I'm not his biggest fan but I can, he's a monster. See him beating Holyfield, Frazier, Dempsey, J Jonnson, Liston, Marciano and I'd give him shots at Foreman and Louis

  6. Gee, they're all black. I wonder why. But I'm not wondering very hard considering what I know of this stupid forum.

Ali, the biggest hype job in boxing history, does not belong on any top ten list. He wasn't considered very good in his time, but the media propaganda machine has been working overtime.

Most of those bums never fought against a single Russian or eastern European, and bums like Ali weren't even able to beat small light heavies weighing about 180 without the aid of crooked judges. In fact Ali was hardly able to beat anyone without the aid of crooked judges and refs, fixed ring ropes, black muslim intimidation, smelling salts, ****** business with the gloves, etc etc.

Didn't you forget to put Leon Spinks on your stupid list?

Of course they did, they battered fully grown men as mere boys in the Olympics.

  9. Ha ha. Yeah right.

"Most of those bums never fought against a single Russian or eastern European"

Or Cuban either - like Teofilo Stevenson who always wanted to fight Cassius Clay but wasn't allowed to...and the Russian Igor Vysotsky who beat Stevenson twice.

I know Tracy Callis. I disagree with a lot of his rankings and have told him so. We've had some pretty stimulating debates and my own information base has been expanded as a result (for instance, he has Charlie Mitchell ranked in a place I don't feel he belongs within a sniff of). Listening to Tracy explain his rankings does nothing but increase your boxing knowledge.

Callis is no dummy. He's a meticulous researcher and historian. I'm not buying this book in hopes that my own limited point of view will be validated. I'm buying it because I know that I will be given a different perspective on history from a man dedicated to bringing forgotten or neglected achievements to light and will walk away from the undertaking a wiser boxing fan.

Men who never travelled beyond three rounds against boys, let alone 15in against a professional. The only reason people still talk about them is because a select few nuts and commies still think a three round amateur bout is the same as fighting muhammad ali, frazier, or foreman over fifteen. Keep the dream alive.

Yes a pasty white lad from northern Manchester has a thing for black boxers from the USA. If it makes you feel any better the next two on my list are Dempsey and wlad meaning nearly 17% of my top 12 are white.

If I had it my way Bruno would be first but I'm sure that's another one of your typical classic observations.

Tbh I'm not too arsed about your views, a list is a list. I just think those 10 do the best against other notable heavyweights usually when I envision a fight I pick the blackest. It was a fukin nightmare picking a winner between Jackson and Godfrey. Both guys are seriously black.

Wlad was amongst the next two. I don't think I'd favour him over any of those listed. Vitali was about 16th or something, hard to rank him h2h, maybe the poorest resume combined with the greatest physical attributes.

As for Bowe, I rate Holy very highly and anyone beating the best version of him (only Bowe) deserves serious consideration especially when he beat him on the inside which is where most guys would have the advantage over a man his size.

hmm, Apart from Riddick bowe I like to see all those fighters in a top ten. Pity you couldnt find room for jack Johnson, Dempsey and Rocky Marciano though...

The trouble with top tens is there are now about 25 heavyweights worthy of top ten selection. I would love to include Charles the klitchkos, Schmeling and patterson. There just is not room.

Best fighters of a decade should come before the flash in the pan types.. but we only have ten to work with.

Somebody once said so long as Louis and Ali are the first two you cant have a bad list. :good
