new boxing board rule on cuts?

    seems a good one to me, were likely to see a few more draws on boxers slates, but draws are better than unjust losses through acidental head clashes. Must be good news for fighters who are more cut prone, . :good

    About time. Travesty when Shinny Bayaar lost his title on a cut recently. Was gutted for him :verysad

    A British boxing sane rule, goes out the window. It was not broken, so there is no need to fix it!

    Madness, but then that is boxing...

    You get cut accidentally and cannot continue? Bad luck, believe it or not Boxing was/used to be a toughman's sport. If you were winning you deserve a rematch, but this boxing, so it may just be too bad, a sob story to tell to the grandchildren.

    You get cut on the purpose and cannot continue? The ref needs to grow some balls, and throw the perpetrator out.

    It was quite simple, and if enforced properly, fair, so why does it need to be changed?

    Why? Khan was in control, cut or no cut, there was likely only one winner.

    The cut was no in way caused by an illegal action by Khan. Barrera is a grown man, a formerly excellent fighter with a very nice legacy, I think he will get over it.

    Accidents happen in boxing, always have, always will.

    Ultimately it does not matter. It was not Khan's fault, he beat what was put in front of him.

    Me thinks Barrera was quite happy with his payday, and he could give it the 'I was robbed', which will no doubt help when negotiating his next job, as it to a point, helped him save face.

    The only people who really did bad out of it were the fans watching. And that would not of changed whether the fight went down as No Contest or a Khan win, these things happen in boxing.

    So, you really don't think that Barrera could not have weathered the storm and adapted to Khan as the fight went on?

    Noone knows what would have happened, but is this so far fetched? Have you never seen this in a fight before?

    Khan did not win the fight, he 'won' the first four rounds over an injured opponent.
