Thought about trying this. Somebody comes out with a boxing related statement, and gives a reason for it. Then the next person says whether they agree or not,and then makes a statement themselves. Worth a go,is n't it ? I'll start it off - Muhammad Ali slipped more between 1973 - '78 than he did between 1967 - '73. You can see that the Ali of the early seventies still came out with blinding flashes of speed, but he lost that after 1975.

I'm game. I agree he wasn't as fast in 73-78 as he was 67-73. I think his speed declined after his exile too but he still showed his blinding speed at times in 73-78. My turn, was Tyson still prime when facing Douglas? I think so but clearly he wasn't at his best mentally.

Agree, Tyson was in his prime.

Prime for prime, Napoles beats Leonard at 147

Good fight ! I have to say I disagree though,as I feel that Leonard's greater speed would make the difference here,in this battle between Sugar and Butter. Just a 60 - 40 thing, close. Only 5 guys,Floyd Patterson,Muhammad Ali,Evander Holyfield,George Foreman and Lennox Lewis, can be WIDELY accepted as having regained the heavyweight title. The man who beat the man etc.
