It's a silly idea. Joshua shouldn't benefit from the situation, and Joshua just getting the Fury/Whyte winner for all the belts only really benefits him.

Worst case scenario where Usyk can't fight, Joshua should fight a worthy challenger (ie Joyce) in the interim.

I wouldn't be surprised if Usyk is encouraged to keep training and fight Joshua. He's probably Ukraine's greatest active living sportsman, having him fight again could be great for morale in Ukraine whilst all this is going on.

I fully support Eddie and AJ promoting a title bout for the Super Interim Franchise Aztec Belt of United Croydon.

Hearn has really lost his marbles recently and whilst we don't have proof of this - it would not surprise me.

Please explain who deserves a shot more? And also add what other fight would you prefer to see?

Joshua was contractually entitled to rematch against Usyk. That was something that was agreed on. AJ WILL be in the mix for those 3 belts against someone else.

So if he doesn't get to fight Usyk to become unified, it should be whoever is next in line.

Look at the other fighters around and tell me what they've done to earn this sort of shot?

If not AJ fighting for the 3 belts, who else? Joyce vs Parker? After their amazing victories against Takam and ****ing Chisora?

Ortiz vs Ruiz? - After beating ***** tits arreola and Martin?

Fury vs Aj for the belts would make sense if usyk is stripped

“If we have to take an interim bout in May or June, we’re happy to do that,” notes Hearn of a possible solution to appease all parties. “After that, we’ll fight Usyk when the situation is resolved.

“We haven’t heard anything official from his team but it doesn’t seem right to reach out and ask ‘Is our fight ok.’ We respect what he’s going through and are willing to give him all the time he needs.”

No, I just don't think Joshua should effectively get a free shot at going undisputed after losing so convincingly. He should fight a worthy challenger (ie Joyce) in the interim in a worst case scenario where Usyk isn't ready for the rematch.

The fight I would love to see would be Joshua vs Wilder - I could see that doing really well commercially too. Can't see it being realistic though.

That's a reasonable response considering the circumstances I think

I think you missed the point of my originally message. I said "if usyk cannot fight" meaning if worst comes to the worst and Usyk can never fight for it, then the belts will be vacated, and then it should be Joshua vs someone else for the 3 belts, probably Joyce.

I was arguing against your other idea which appeared to be Joshua sitting around and then getting a free shot at Whyte vs Fury winner.

It’s pretty obvious that Usyk only joined this war to duck the AJ rematch.

I heard Tyson Fury and Frank Warren were saying he wants Usyk’s belts since he can’t fight. I’ve got about as much proof as the Hearn rumours.

Why should Joshua even be given the titles back,he lost them all to Usyk ! If Usyk can’t make the rematch then the sanctioning bodies all have fighters in place waiting to fight for these titles.I can’t see it happening but if this mockery happened and Joshua was gifted those titles back then went on to fight in an undisputed fight NOBODY would recognise it as undisputed. If Joshua wants the titles back he goes in the ring and beats Usyk simple as that. Its been nearly 6 month since Joshua lost to Usyk and no sign of this rematch being announced even before the invasion happened. If Joshua is so desperate to fight all of a sudden, conveniently knowing that Usyk has other matters at hand then he can take an interim fight simple as that !

That is most likely just anti- Match Room propaganda just to make Hearn look bad.

No one can seriously strip Usyk, it hasnt even been a year since he last fought. I believe Usyk should be granted more time than usual before governing bodies consider stripping titles due to the circumstances (although there does have to be a limit).

AJ should just have a fight in the meantime (may/June) against someone like Joyce, Hunter or Sanchez and then hopefully AJ vs Usyk rematch at the end of the year.
