Some interesting stuff in there, and his pretty bang on with most of it, apart from Roy Jones retiring. He should of retired earlier. Always good to hear what Chris has to say and i love that story at the end about the Germans and Barry Hearn, superb. The man was strong as an ox and one of a kind. Would have loved to have seen him fight Toney and Jones. But he more than proved his worth anyway. Legend.
I have always been a fan of Eubank. For Eubank fans i recommend his Autobiography of his childhood, life etc. It enables you to see what made his Will so STRONG and his determination unshakable. Great Book.
Fearing a riot and abandonment of the fight, Barry Hearn, whose insurance money only kicked in once the boxers actually entered the ring, was astounded to see me strolling round and round the apron outside the ring. 'What the hell are you doing?' he hissed. 'I'm simply soaking up the hate, Barry, it's wonderful,' I said. typical eubank that.
Completely agree with the ITV thing, you can build up so much morepublic awareness on freeview. It's much better for grass roots of any sport
The Benn and Rocky wins and performances are still underrated - Benn just beat Barkley in a round in Vegas and Rocky beat the **** out of Michalczewski. Eubank completely dominated them.
Len Harvey Len Johnson Jock McAvoy Bert Gilroy Randolph Turpin and others yet, and thats just the British crew. Eubank never dares mention these great middleweights who fought everyone put before them and top HWs too, Eubank is a legend, so he keeps telling us. weight out the difference, top men every other week and climbing just as regular, up, out of your weight just to prove it - such were the demanding times! sorry Chris, good fighter sure, great no!
