And people wonder why Floyd sometimes looks slower on the mits. He's obviously slowing down for Unca Roger.

i've never really been impressed by that mitt work. roger slaps at his gloves and floyd hardler turns his punches over. i know some have called it patty cake...and i know that's partially hate...but it's probably closest to the truth.

Floyd is good at making opponents miss the overhand right and countering with a short right hook Just like in his pad work, not every punch needs to be thrown with full authority or loaded up or extended. It's the non thinking counter that's more likely to hurt, stun and frustrat an opponent. Floyd is the master at frustrating opponents, capitalizing on every mistake they make.

It seems good for training reflexes and getting the body accustomed to automatic counters through muscle memory. The one thing I hate about it though is the way his right uppercut is basically just holding up his fist vertically while Roger slaps it, but the rest have at least some sort of commitment.
