It would make sense if we wanted boxing to have the same standard of testing as other sports. There is very clear cheating from some boxers (obviously in the HWs) and rarely is anyone caught

Why is Floyd above the testing in boxing? Because it is 1 of the worst testing procedures in pro-sports and many boxers cheat so the testing is simply not good enough

Do we want the best for boxing or the worst?

What other professional sports use the same testing that was suggested for this fight? None.
What other professional sports use as stringent a testing protocol as what Pacquiao agreed to? None.

At least not in this country.

I have seen no evidence to suggest that boxing's drug testing is any worse than any other sport. Can you provide some?

Athletics is a pro-sport and has more stringent testing, they test all year round in every country, both blood and urine. Well played in playing the 'pro angle' but athletics is now professional

Plenty of other sports test weekly throughout a sports season, boxing has testing only after fights, which typically amounts to once or twice a year

Only someone who's biased or uneducated on sports testing would argue 1 drugs test post fight is anywhere as good, especially when that test can easily be passed by stopping taking PEDs a few days before the fight. Whats more we have a sport that has a history of being hushed up by a commision dependent on income from promoters/boxers when someone is caught. But yes no evidence of boxing testing being any worse than any other sport

Again why not want the best drugs testing for boxing?

Found the URGE to TALK again?

Why can't the babbling idiot talk when Pac does not have a signed fight?

Grab a ballpen and smack it to his face.

Ironic, considering that's not how drug testing works in boxing. They are subject to random urine testing at any time during a year their license is active by most boxing commissions. But you just found out about this in the Amir Khan thread 20 minutes ago, so I shouldn't have to explain it again.

And what is "athletics"? Are you referring to the Olympics?

If Olympians are professionals, then Floyd Mayweather and Andre Berto can't be undefeated, right?

Athletic = Track and Field is Pro, it isn't only the olympics but World Championships etc, Olympic boxing isn't Pro, but I'm not much bothered about undefeated talk, but Mayweather was pretty much robbed against the Bulgarian in the Olympics.

No I didn't know of any random testing in boxing, all the bigger name boxers I'm aware of get tested post/pre fight, and smaller time boxers don't even get that. I know many boxers who've only got tested once in a year at their pre-arranged medical for a licence renewal
