The best brian london ever looked on film. I think without the cut he would have won.

brian did not fight to win against patterson but suprised himself with how long he lasted. Against valdes he looks up for it.

would not mind watching his wins against folley and radmacher, they must be out there somewhere..

Valdes was shot and had a detached retina. I don't think London put up an overly impressive losing effort, his punches seemed to lack power and regardless of the cut he was running out of steam.

I disagree. London looks better here than against ali and Patterson where he felt out of depth. cooper was disappointed with London’s efforts in both fights and he fought all three.

Valdes was pretty durable and game. London hits him plenty, he was not a powder-puff puncher but he was backing Valdes up and bossing the fight. a rough handful and good second tier contender IMO.

It doesn't take much to look better than he did against Ali or Patterson. I think London was at his best as a mauler. His best losing effort was probably against Johansson.

I don't see him backing up or bossing Valdes at all, the exact opposite in fact.

    Agreed.

Valdes lacked the fire and power he once had, and just mugged and hustled his way through the fight. London showed a good jab, but not much else.

Nothing particularly impressive about either man's showing, IMO.

granted neither man ever looked a world beater I just think its a more credible performance by London who is often made a joke of because of his non effort against ALI. brian took a young quarry the distance also.

I have the fight also. London found success with crowding tactics. Folley's reflexes looked shot, his timing was completely off and his stamina was bad. London kept working even though his punches did little damage. It was nothing pretty.

brian is coming forward and backing valdes up quite a bit and is the only one conecting cleanly - with punches. valdes is landing to the body and mauling. thats it. No sign of a jab from nino.

sounds about right. although folley wasnt that bad against ali and was 2-0 since the title fight when he fought brian. maybe brian london made fighters look bad? I think london was a better contender than his title fights sugest.
