The WBC has suspended Dereck Chisora indefinitely for the David Haye incident, saying it was the worst behavior ever by a professional boxer. 'Worst ever' is a huge call. But a suspension of some kind is warranted.
Wasnt it for everything before and after his fight with Vitali??? I dont think it was just for the Haye incident
I saw a UK TV interview with Haye where they basically crawled up his arse and he slagged Chisora off for his criminal record etc and somehow managed to turn his potential glassing of Chisora into something the interviewers laughed at. Either way, regardless of Chisora's criminal record, Haye disrupted the press conference and deliberately provoked Chisora, and should have either left the room or dropped the bottle before Chisora got to him - he had plenty of time to do either but instead stayed there and kept the bottle in his hand knowing full well it was likely punches would be thrown. It was a dog act. Not condoning what Chisora did before the fight and in the press conference, but Haye is no angel and should be suspended too.
:blabla:blabla Haye is all talk Josey mate....when push came to shove he makes excuses about his little toe.:verysad:verysad Chisora took a beating like a man & gave his all...Chisora won my respect in the ring...outside of the ring he is volatile as all hell.
Mate if Chisora was coming towards me with bad intent i would have done exactly the same , **** getting all ****ed up or worse just so people on the internet don't get bent out of shape , if someone is coming at me they get it all ( admittedly not as much as i once had ) all the same the graveyard is full of fellas who didn't REALLY think they would get stabbed etc . fight or flight if you chose fight then ALL it is .
BTW Chisora's appalling pre fight antics far outweighed any credit i would have given him for taking his arse whooping like a man .
Chisora approached Haye after threatening to slap him and in a previous interview threatening to break his jaw. His antics that week proved he was well capable of fulfilling his threats. He approached with his trainer and some of his entourage. They after it all kicked off got involved, not in a way to break up a fight but to continue it. Haye punched him, with a glass in his hand, but only in the face of extreme provocation. It was not a one on one fight. He broke no rule that i know of, Chisora is a bully who thought Haye would do nothing, he found out otherwise.
