I’ve been going training for three years or so, just sparing and bag/pad work, nothing competitive, and my trusty pair of 16oz Pug gloves now resemble a giant foam hand. I’m looking to get another pair and wondered if anyone had any advice on what I could go for? As I said, it would just be for sparing and hitting the pads, so I’ll probably still stick with 16oz, and anything around the £50 mark (or cheaper!).

    Thanks

That's true, I don't want to save a few quid now but then have to get a new pair in a years time. Is there a big difference in size between the 14 and 16oz?

Nah not really, only reason i took 14oz is cause im 16 and 63kg & 1.75m tall so power isn't my main element. If your at a heavier ratio and a hard hitter then go with 16oz. If your more or less the same body type as i am or less then 14oz would do just fine. Here are a few links which should help your search according to your budget.

If you can save up alot of money then these are by far the best i have ever used:

Check these for good professional gloves: (Higher prices)

This is what im getting: ($119.99 = £76)

Obviously if you like any of these you don't need to buy it from that link by force, you can simply remember the model and how the glove looks and look around for different price range.

No problem mate, as i said find a model you like and either buy it from there or check out some boxing shops around your area (if have any)
