OK - now it has been confirmed that Billy is packing in, who will be Hatton's next permanent trainer? There has been plenty of talk on Le Generale about the likes of Floyd Mayweather sr and Freddie Roach - both of whom seem long shots as Hatton is part of a very close family and likes spending time with his young son. I aren't sure if there are any British based trainers that could actually improve him - Adam Booth is based in Cyprus with David Haye, Brendan Ingle is an obvious no-no. Any thoughts gents......
what I think is you say Hatton is "part of a very close family" Father Ray Hatton is going to have a big say in this as always I honestly feel he will be more concerned about getting a trainer who demands less of a cut of the purse than getting the right quality trainer who will want to be paid more
I honestly think Hatton should pack it in Now Billy has gone - aint that a sign that it should be the end of the road for him too Billy always said he would tell Ricky when it was time to retire - but now Billy has gone before Ricky - who is gonna tell him now
Matthew Hatton was just **** against Watson, that was nothing to do with Billy Graham. Watson didn't do so much as win the fight, Matt just sort of, well, did **** all and made it easy for the judges to hand him a loss. When he was actually throwing punches he looked good and capable of winning, but was lazy and got what he deserved. Nowt. Flint - you are seriously starting to sound like a hater. At least some of his detractors are at least objective. Adam Booth would be my bet, he seems to be able to break down an opponent and train the fighter accordingly. Enzo Calzaghe - I am not sure. I won't say too much on that one because I really dislike the guy! I don't think Ricky would be too encouraged by Enzo stating that Ricky had to earn his shot at Gavin Rees, either. Freddie Roach would be ideal IMO, but as he trains Pac and this fight appears to be on the cards, it seems unlikely. Floyd Mayweather sr would be able to teach Ricky how to defend, but would he actually apply it in a fight. :think Manny Steward is one I admire, but again working behind a solid jab isn't really Ricky's game.
dont be shocked by this he was also drilling it into Enzo Maccarenellis head beofre the big fight that David Haye can't punch
