How profound. I bet you must have all manner of media publications falling over themselves to acquire your services.

And this is the first time that disrespect has been shown before a fight? These two will hug and tell each other that they're great after the fight, regardless of the outcome. It's normal in boxing y'know.....don't hate Calzaghe more for playing the game.

Just read what the Calzaghe fans have to put up with Dan. Day in day out he gets an undeserved pastering of abuse from much of the US and its uncalled for. It will also carry on after this wkend and can you imagine if he loses every tom dick and harry will be giving it the ,"i told you so " b/s.
You have to admit that its the Hopkins fans who have become obsessed with this whole thing on disrespectin. I see more posts slaggin off Calzaghe than Hopkins gettin slagged off and its seems the Hopkins fans dont like it up them when you start giving a bit of b/s back to them.
I`m sure in 3/4 wks it will all calm down and everyone will be back to normal slaggin off Mayweather again for earning good money.

Hopkins is a great fighter, but I just have that feeling..

I disagree, I think Hopkins takes more abuse & a lot of it is brought about by the over zealous praise Joe recieves from sycophants. Anyway, if Bhops wins as I expect I won't bother making too big a fuss about it. This board will be a terrible mess for a few days after the fight & I'll probably steer well clear.

    But what if Joe wins?

If I had wanted to speak to you I would have quoted you. Are you going to be quoting every post I make from now on? If Joe wins then I'll be here as normal. TFFP has been promised a formal apology from me but I'll probably wait a few days until the kids have stopped fighting before I post it.

Sorry for invading your space! I hope to see your excuses if Calzaghe wins.

Damn, man!! You are usually a very wise poster on here but why is it that you cant see that Joe is too fast and has a much higher workrate + an iron chin to nulify all of the things you are mentioning.

I mean - no matter how much Bernard comes with, Joe will be able to win this fight on punch output, chin and stamina alone.

If Bernard comes in and is just a little bit faded compared to the Tarver fight then I simply cant see how Bernard could win this. Not even a lucky, clean mother****er of a punch will do.

OK i think when the fight was announced the idea of coming to the states for us Calzaghe nut huggers was a feelin of at bloody long last. So it got abit excited here in Wales and i agree the banter was just that, get the ball rollin and make out the fight is more than what it is actually is gunna be.
    Lets hype it.
These last few wks tho have been off the head where critisism is concerned and none of the fighters deserve it, they have both payed there dues and now that they have come right to the end of there careers maybe we should be applauding both styles.
Not forgetting the way the fans have been entertained by both for the last 10yrs either.

The scene sure hell wouldnt have been the same without Hopkins/Calzaghe.

You know what? You're ****ing right. Rather than further madness maybe in this last week we should see sense? Sure we could continue pick on how both fighters could have done things different in the past but whats the point? Lets just enjoy this for what it is & hope the best man wins & each of them are healthy after the fight no matter what the result.

I'm looking forward to this, but the outcome looks inevitable to me. Hopkins looked slower and stiffer than ever against Wright, and that was, what, nine months ago?

Calzaghe looked great in his career-defining fight -- it was Kessler, not Hopkins -- in November. Unless he has gotten old overnight, his ability to use his legs and work for 12 rounds should enable him to take a decision.
