Stepped up and gave Wallin a shot? Hahaha cherry pick gone wrong is more like it. He and his team, and most fans expected a walkover

He beat him. Fighting an unbeaten fighter who was giving everyone a nightmare in sparring is hardly a cherry pick. Why didn’t Joshua fight him.

Precisely what the next person who interviews Hearn should be asking him. If they don't, they are simply not doing their job. But as we know some of the people who regularly interview Hearn are more concerned with pampering his ego than anything else.

    Yes it is.
When was joshua supposed to fight him? The only acceptable time would have been when he fought franklin.

    2. Jesse Ferguson Olliver McCall Greg Page and others gave everybody nightmares in sparrng but for a top fighter they are a cherry pick

Beating a cruiserweight gets you #2 spot. Amazing.

Who's wallin's best win? Gassiev? What's he done at heavyweight? Nothing.

It should really be Zhang vs Hrgovic 2

Gassiev. Gave Belly hell. Did much better against him in one attempt than The Dosser did in three in his backyard. Breazeale.

Yeah, Big Bang is more deserving and I'd prefer to see that but I said Wallin was more deserving than AJ because he won an eliminator for the #2 spot. If you fight in an eliminator for the #2 spot #3 shouldn't be able to leapfrog you even if they have a much better resume than you. That's the whole point of fighting in the eliminator.

It was called an eliminator but I fail to see what Wallin and especially gassiev did to deserve the chance.

So Wallin slaps around shot Brezeale and gets an eliminator vs Gassiev who's beat nobody at this level.

Hrgovic I understand because he at least showed himself on par with Zhang.

    I don't make the rules

    The sanctioning bodies do

All of them make decisions I don't agree with but it is what it is

For whatever reason they decided to make an eliminator between Wallin and Gassiev for the #2 spot

Hrgovic and Wallin are #1 and #2 now

Therefore they will fight each other

The other orgs get a lot of flack for their ratings, but the IBF never really answered for their rating of Zhang.

They had Zhang #15 when he signed to fight their #1 Hrgovic, because no one else would. Zhang fought him. It was one of the best heavyweight fights last year. Great action. Controversial decision.

As a result, Hrgovic remained #1 and Zhang got bounced out of their ratings entirely. The WBO rated Zhang after that and Joyce gave him a fight, but the IBF just dismissed Zhang immediately after the bout.

How do you engage in a fight with the #1 contender like that and then fall OUT of the top 15? Nobody ever asked them that question. Do they have something against Chinese nationals, like the WBC has against Russian nationals?

Otherwise, what did they see in that fight with Hrgovic that led them to believe Zhang wasn't one of the 15 best heavyweights, if Hrgovic was #1?

That fight seemed like a natural for a rematch. And if the IBF had ranked Zhang really high after the first fight, we could be getting the rematch for the vacant title, which would've been fine by me.

He cherrypicked what he thought was a Firtha, Pajkic, Seferi, Abell level opponent, only to find out he picked unwisely.

This is an excellent, fresh start

Get aj out of the top 3 and force him and all other contenders to earn the top spot by fighting eachother

Either will get obliterated vs Usyk or Fury.
