It doesn't answer anything. It just tells people to stick with them. It's not giving people the info so they can run. People shouldn't panic. None of us have money invested in Setanta. If they go under, we cancel our subscription. Staying with them is what gives them a chance of staying afloat.

I can't understand why anyone would cancel. In effect nothing has changed from what would be the case if Setanta wasn't having problems, like they have for months.

Looking forward to Bunce's show tomorrow.

One of mates just ordered in Sky today and he told me that he would get it installed until July 29, I ordered Sky just over a week ago and they installed it about 4 or 5 days later, does this ancedote point to an upsurge in orders for Sky, and cancellations for Setanta due to the recent media speculation???

No not at all. Setanta isn't a competitor to Sky it is competitor to sky sports. Even with that said, 90% of Setanta customers already have Sky Sports. In other words, its for sports freaks.

Yep, good point, I would think that there is no point in disconnecting Setanta if you already have it installed.

Well it basically says all their planned programming will continue for the time being- that's something I have been quite concerned about. There are still a list of fights on the schedule and more Buncey's boxing hour to look forward to for the moment.

I wont cancel and agree if people do it will just make the companys problems worse, and if they go under im sure people wont even have to bother cancelling, who would you call to cancel?
If they do go under boxing is avaidable on RTL Germany for free. You just have to look into ways to recive it.

I would agree with his statement, I don't think "many" people would choose Setanta over SkySports unless all you want to watch is boxing or Scuttish football. He obviously can't back it up with a fact, I think it's more general opinion. I've had Setanta at my student house but we had SkySports first.
