Rios: shut up and accept that you got dominated. You got your ass kicked. You are Abrils's ***** now.

Garcia and Rios seem to be putting the blame entirely on making weight. But honestly, I don't buy that. He looked as hopeless as he did because Abril was an awful stylistic challenge that reduced him to nothing with his awkwardness and defence. If Rios came in at 140, he still would have been hitting thin air and cuffing his hooks against the right arm of Abril. Fair enough, he is outgrowing the weight, and I agree he'd be better off at 140, but you could have brought any version of Rios with you that night - whether it be the one from the Peterson and Acosta fights where he looked his best at the weight - and you still would have seen the same result.
im actually starting to feel bad for Rios. it seems like the criticism is getting to him mentally. it must be tough to deal with your first loss. it seems like hes doubting himself now. hope he bounces back
feel sorry for a guy who just miassed weight twice got a gift decision so now he can get a huge pay day?
I used to feel Garcia was a great trainer, but now I've changed my opinion. I feel he is a decent/above average trainer who has been hyped up so much because of recent wins for Donaire, Rios, and Mikey Garcia (even though Mikey is trained by his father tbh). And Garcia has the nerve to rubbish Freddie Roach, but at least Freddie Roach was man enough as a coach to say that Pacquiao didn't perform against Marquez in their last fight, and that it could have gone either way. But Garcia doesn't say anything, he just tells Brandon how good he is, but doesn't seem to want to say "no" to Brandon. I think their camp is full of "yes" men to be honest with you. But anyway, I think Rios was found out tonight, heck he was even struggling somewhat with Acosta until he stopped him. He moves up to 140, where there will be bigger, stronger, faster fighters waiting for him. I think even Judah would beat him to be honest, even though Judah is way past it now.
dont get me wrong, i still dont like the mutha****er. and i feel even worse for Abril. it just seems like hes lost his confidence as a fighter. but overall he deserved that ass whoopin for all that **** he talked :yep
This is the problem with the undefeated record ! People are so afraid to lose it that they don't know what to do if it happens !
I have no problem with what he said here. He's a competitor. It was a very tough fight, and now he's getting some tough questions. He's answering them though. I still like watching this guy fight. Hopefully, he comes back strong at 140.
