Just ordered it yesterday. Hope there are alot of stories about the fighters who fought at the Blue Horizon back in the day.
One of the best fights I think I ever saw on USA Network was the match between Bryant Paden And Frankie Mitchell two boxers from Philly fighting in the Blue Horizon.
You can tell how much he loved what he was doing. Being in Philadelphia Peltz got to be a Fan's Matchmaker rather than a fighter's Promoter. He was always looking to make the best fights. Not alot of guys go to the Blue Horizon to pad the record. I like that Peltz admits the times he was wrong. He was offered a piece of Hagler turned it down. 1
I’m reading 2-3 sections a night and it’s very entertaining. Already have mentions of KO-JO, Flash Gordon, Bruce Trampler and the gang … had no idea that this was something of a crew that formed when they were all younger. Some really good stories. Very enjoyable.
