GGG already has the perceived and the official W over you, Jacobs, so he doesn't need to fight you. You are not unified champ if you beat Canelo, so using a hypothetical future unification as proof he is ducking you is rather absurd. The unification has less importance now because of the following:

GGG has a perceived win over Canelo, but no official W. Canelo's cheating and corruption to get the results would clearly motivate any fighter to get revenge. Canelo is the far bigger pay day also. GGG has limited time left.

See if you can get your friend Algieri to do that math for you, as you're clearly not the sharpest tool in the shed.

 

Well Jacobs may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, after all he's said numerous times that he had GGG beating Canelo in not only the first fight but in the rematch as well.

 

A few Floyd and Canelo fans, maybe.

 

Golovkin wanted to be the UNDISPUTED 160 king, he already was the unified king.
The only belt missing was the WBO one and that one is still missing after Jacobs vs Canelo.

 

He was also never Lineal. You can't be Undisputed without being Lineal.

 

Tyson was for 4 fights. He even got introduced for his fight against the the "lineal champion" Spinks (who had to walk first of course) as the undisputed champion, just like in his couple previous fights.

edit: And if Joshua and Wilder fight before either fights Fury (again), then the winner would be undisputed and lineal according to some publications but not to others. It's something that has little value, because the "lineal" title nowadays often means the duckers title (like Spinks back in the day in my Tyson example).

 

Canelo will stop Jacobs IMO so no need to be worrying about this

 

Jacobs beat GGG and got stiffed on the cards in his hometown. More flush power shots vs more clean jabs. He absolutely deserved a rematch and has every reason to be frustrated at Team GGGs flatout refusal to entertain a rematch.

 

whilst i agree he was never lineal, so what if you hvae 3 titles? isnt 3 titles near enough in this day and age.

Now if you have argued that 3G only won one of them, then you'd have an argument.

You must admit that lineal is a bit of a joker in the pack, more of an award, down to the sheer nature of the rules governing it.
