He says something in here that are interesting to me...He says that he didn't fight Paul Williams because he is an unknown welter...I can see the part about welter, but Kelly is not well known outside of boxing. In a general discussion with a casual fan he's known as the white guy/dude who beat up Jermain Taylor. He also says that he didn't fight Felix Strum because he's not known...who's the last guy he fought again? He also talked about B Hops conditioning. While it did seem horrible against Joe C, it didn't seem to be a factor in the Taylor fights where Kelly said he tired towards the end of those...when actually BHop coming on in the later rounds is what did him in. Check out the interview and state your opinions.

He mentioned the anonymity of Williams and Strum as reasons why he chose the Hopkins fight over them. Why would he fight a little known Welter or little known Strum when he can fight a living legend that fought Calzaghe to a SD? Remember he's trying to fight Calzaghe.

Just hoping his plans after Hopkins, win or lose is Abraham. If he wins that fight would be HUGE and if he loses then it will still be a good fight to make. It's clear however that he wants Calzaghe next, his move to Welterweight and fighting Calzaghe's last opponent is the best obvious proof.
I might have missed something here so forgive me but how does shaving your head and coming in to rock music stop average fans refering to him as "the White Guy" :huh
I think Joe can beat him, but he seems like a top guy. I'm totally happy with his choices of opponent. Good luck to a top pro as far as im concerned.
There's too many white guys now to say "white guy" in reference to a boxer, also the term great white hope has to be retierd. Anyway I like Kelly's choice, if he wins he sets up a fight with Calzaghe and if he losses he just goes back down and tries to unify. There's no shame in losing to BHop, even at 43.
I didn't misrepresent what he said. He said what he said. I'm talking about not being too well known to disregard Williams that way.
Think im still missing it. Unless you want to massage my feet!?:huh Im gonna assume it was a joke that went way over my head coz this has gone weird, quickly.
