Also likes the fact that he speaks spanish to Williams and english to Airich Two things though 1. Williams sure doesn throw a lot of low punches (a few uppercuts to the balls there) and a lot of punching to the back of the head - in my book enough for a disqualification! 2. Why throw the towel at that point? - Airich wasn't on top of things, but he wasn't in that big trouble - If Gatti's corner had gone by those standards Gatti would have had 10-15 defeats more
The rabbit punches were arm-punches with Airich was holding. If you holding (which is itself technically illegal), your opponent can't be blamed for hitting you anywhere he can. Williams was putting Airich in no real danger. Williams threw at most three actual low punches in that fight. The punch which he lost TWO points for in his first deduction was clearly on the beltline, as the replay revealed. Williams got, what, four or five points deducted? That includes the two point deduction for knocking Airich down. Gatti never had a stretch of "three" rounds of being bounced off the canvas and not landing a single significant punch. Williams basically slaughtered Airich after he gassed and Airich hadn't recovered from the previous KD despite having almost a minute and a half to recover.
This match was even more corrupt than that Yoan Pablo Hernandez match where the ref helps him up after being knocked down.
