Oscar has never run GBP, he's just the majority shareholder and founder. And while GBP has done some things wrong and behaved poorly, they do pay their fighters.

Oscar runs GBP as much as Ricky runs Hatton Promotions.

University of Hull. I do not remeber this trerm at all, sounds more like an accounting term to me. It does not sound like the kind of thing you need to know in the field of Macroeconomics.

It may be a finance term, but that does not necessarily mean it is an economic term and something you would come across in your degree.

I found it strange that last week when Prizefighter went up against the Price vs Thompson card, most on the RBR were watching PF over the 2 british title fights on the BN card.

I am not PF biggest fan, but I wouldn't like to see it obilished. It serves a purpose and has given fighters a platform that wouldn't have got it otherwise. I would like to see it moved to weeknights, say 6 PF a year on wednesdays when theres no euorpean football and then 20 regular saturday shows on Sky.

The small hall promoters must be making money or they wouldnt do it. I get the sense there is an unwritten agreement amongst all promoters to say "we keep losing money" so that it keeps fighters expectations down. Franks account say -£2mil for 2012 because he pays himself a high salary to keep his lifestyle.

It's possibly more into the execution side of things. But governments and state bodies often use escrow in large trade agreements or for economic aid (we'll stop your people starving if you let us take you oil. Kthnxbai).

The night Willie Casey won Prizefighter there was more people on here watching that than Vitalis world heavyweight title fight.

I just wish they'd move it back to mid week, have it in addition to "proper" weekend cards.

They must be making enough to keep doing it. Banks generally don't open lines of credit forever. The second statement you made terrifies me if it's true.

I did Economics, 2 years at Derby 2 years at Greenwich. Had to do a few accounting modules though. I think degrees have a broarder range of study nowdays.

There were not many pubs down Newland Avenue, more down Beverley Road. Newland Avenue had the Piper Club and Queens was down the bottom.

I only had one accounting module in the first year. That is the one module of my entire degree that I made the most effort trying to forget since. Accountancy has to be the dullest subject/occupation there is.
