On the Boxing Movie Podcast, hosted by Steve Hunt his guest, Cat Johnson speaks about her book, which came out in October, “Then the World Moved On.”
It covers Baer’s fight with Frankie Campbell, and her take on what Baer was really like, following 3 years of research.
It’s an excellent podcast series, that goes in depth on boxing movies.

Yes, certainly comes over well in the podcast. Baer doesn’t come out well in her findings. Appalling treatment of Carnera, evidently. All her facts are based on interviews, contemporary reports. The Baer - Campbell fight wasn’t filmed. In the Crowe film, it was only included for to deter Braddock, for dramatic effect.

Glad to see an earlier thread has been resurrected on this subject on Classic, with the author’s contributions.
