You figure you need someone with the popularity stateside of Oscar to make a run at the PPV record? I was thinking if marketed correctly it might have a chance, but maybe you do need Oscar or Tyson or something to do that.

This is excellent news. I'm glad to see the commission is interested in reviewing the matter. Hopefully by the fall this system is in place so Pacquiao will have no choice but to do it. Boxing needs this fight to happen.

This is only in Nevada (and it's not even in place yet). How about those mega fights happening in other states and those outside USA?

All these people worried aboutlesser boxer purse . don't worry. GBP paid the fees. so it's likely there will be a fee charged to the promoter per fighter on their fight card.

and more then likely a discount on big fights

Mayweather didn't do sh*t. It will be back to the chain gang, after Pac-Mayweather gets made.

at 20,000 bucks per fighter..its not realistic to randomly blood test ever boxer and MMA fighter. 20,000 is double what fighters make on the undercards..the ones that Aren't seen on TV.

NSAC's MO would have more legs to stand on if a POSITIVE result came up. Unfortunately, its a mad dash to make random testing legal just in time for the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight.

Now the real question is if Texas is willing to follow suit so the fight can be in Dallas Stadium and more accessible for fans who want to watch this fight live.

Any fight where this is an issue will probably have at least a $1M purse/fighter.

So $20K per fight would amount to at most, 1 % of the total purse.

In a $20M per fighter bout, like Pac-Mayweather, this would come to
    0.05 % of the purse.

So it would probably be worth it.

This is a good start. Now the tax-friendly states should follow through else it could be another stumbling block together with PBF's no 50-50 purse.

You know better than this Scar. A fight in Texas will not bring in more money than Vegas. Vegas will offer a higher site fee, and a higher live gate. More seats do not neccesarily equal more money. If that were the case, how come pretty much all the top live gates in recent times were from Vegas fights where the seating capacity is under 20K?

lets see what pac's team say now. they're probably start shouting about the fight having to be held in texas even though they agreed last time in the fight being held in las vegas. if they chat that ****, then pac's guilty IMO. you can only chat so much **** before you're making yourself too suspicious.

the casinos make up for the lack of seats.
