(New) Nevada State Athletic Commission considers blood-testing program

Like what I said before, Pacquiao will agree the random blood testing if only NSAC makes it mandatory. Pacquiao will take the test. What will Floyd demand next? a 70-30 purse split? LOL Watch how this fight still doesn't get made because of Floyd's demands.

The people thinking this is a victory for Mayweather don't get it: The NSAC is providing a way for Pacquiao to accept testing without giving in to Mayweather's demand. That is, it will be the Commission making the rules, not Team Mayweather.

That's what Pacquiao wanted all along. No arbitrary fish-outs by Mayweather.

The question then becomes this: Mayweather ducked the bout the first time (went against medical experts who told him the 24-day testing window was sufficient), what will save him the next time if the Commission takes his "trump card" away?

We'll find out soon, unless Old Man Mosley goes to pre-Mayorga, pre-Cotto form.

 

50/50 with Pacquiao, is more than Mayweather would earn taking 70% against any other possible opponent for him. The only boxers which would make a good fight, are Top Rank fighters but Arum won't allow that.

If Mayweather wants more than 50%, it's a blatant duck. 50/50 was fair before the Mosley and Clottey bouts and nothing has changed.

And Pacquiao doesn't have to accept anything. If he quits boxing tommorow, he will likely end up in politics and other ventures. Mayweather will blow whatever he is making yet again and find himself no viable opponents. Mayweather still needs Pacquiao, more than Pacquiao needs Mayweather. I know it doesn't matter to Floyd, but legacy wise too.

 

It will be money. Mayweather will use that to duck the fight.

 

Then Pacquiao better just go ahead and retire. He'll be hard pressed to get a 50/50 deal with Mayweather. Or maybe he can go fight Margarito instead. He got 90% against Clottey and that still didn't net him as much as if he were to get 40% or 45% against Mayweather.

 

it matters to both. both can't say they're number one without beating the other guy who's also regarded as number one. mosley is the linear welterweight champion.

50-50 seems fair, but i think floyd will want more when the world finds out how well the mosley PPV does. floyd's basically going to be involved in one of the biggest PPV sales again. he'll class himself as the bigger draw and demand to se the clottey PPV sales with pacquiao, and when they don't match-up to his sales, then it'll add ammunition to the negotiation table to try and get 60-40.

 

My personal belief is that Mayweather will eventually face his Fear Of Pacquiao.

Roach has said he felt Floyd ducked the fight the first time around because Floyd felt he was still rusty after his retirement and he didn't want to jump into the ring with an in-his-prime All-Time Great like Manny. That sounds about right.

Mayweather shouldn't be afraid of Pac. He's bigger, and longer. Pac's the only reason Floyd came back at all, to try to steal his way back to the #1 P4P ranking against a smaller man. The kind of move Floyd has made throughout his 140+ career.

But the Cotto fight scared Team Mayweather, and understandably so. They didn't expect to see Manny walk though Cotto's shots as he did and hammer the Puerto Rican into submission.

Still, I think at some point Floyd has to stop running from Pacquiao. He's talked himself into a corner. If the Commission takes away his testing excuse and he still balks, his precious "street cred" is gone.

For a chump like May, that's what it often comes down to, apparently. Just ask Ocie, or the guy whose car took the bullets.

Mayweather will be shamed into fighting Pac, if nothing else. And he'll probably beat him, as I have always maintained.

LMAO if Floyd thinks that he deserves more than 50% then he is completely ducking the fight. Like what paulfv mentioned, Pacquiao was just waiting for the commission to give the go signal for the drug testing. No more cut off dates since it's the commission's order to get the bloods drawn.

Jack is right. Pacquiao really doesn't need Floyd. If money is to be talked about, Pac is already a billionaire in the philippines and can live off through products he endorse.

 

It's boxing politics, ladies and gentlemen. Al Haymon had Mosley lined up for Mayweather after the Marquez fight. It was definitely Haymon that gave GBP to get Mosley into the ring to crash the interview. You can tell because in 24/7 it showed Floyd being mad at Haymon saying it was disrespectful of him.

Therefore the Pac fight wasn't going to happen in March. I'm pretty sure the Pac team didn't want it then, too. Who the hell would promote the biggest fight ever in such a short notice? The rest is boxing politics.

Roach is already making comments that he wants to negotiate further on the blood testing. They all know the fight's gonna happen, and they all probably already know the date. But damn the publicity this fight has already gotten is massive. It's gonna be huge, that's for sure.

 

If Pac doesn't need Floyd, and he's so well off, then he might as well retire. It's unlikely that he would get a 50/50 split with Mayweather. I'll tell what's going to happen though. This all assumes Mayweather wins on Saturday. Pacquiao will take those tests, he will accept less than 50/50, and the fight will happen in November in Las Vegas.
