He didn't win the fight but he proved his ATG status anyway.

He would be if he won without controversy, and he obviously didn't. Great fight though

p4p my ass. Ward is a disgrace and anyone who had him winning the fight.

 

This is why boxing pisses me off. The 10 - 9 BS scoring needs to change. If ever there was a reason to have a DRAW in boxing, it was this fight. There was no definitive winner and I don't think anyone would have grumbled with the result if i was a draw.

 

No way. Definitely no shot, not based on that performance.

That was a straight robbery.

Horrible night for the sport.

 

I thought Kov won by 1 point but every round was so close it cannot be called a robbery. I am disappointed not one judge gave it to Kov. That stinks.

 

Ward didn't do enough to win that fight

 

Boring ass fighter with zero power. Kovalev was robbed by crooked American judges.

 

This is exactly why the UFC is taking over combat sports.

May-Pac was the dagger, and this was the final blow to the sport.

Ridiculous.

 

Ward recovered from a knockdown and fought his fight. Kovalev is still a good fighter, but Andre Ward is greater. I promise he is probably going to retire now. Great fight, but boxer beats puncher and Willie has doubled his money.
