    2. pac
    3. calzaghe
    4. hopkins

    6. hatton

IF (big if) hatton wins vs. pbf, he goes to #2 with calzaghe still @ #3 and pbf goes down to 4.

Because every forum member here has his favorite fighter. It is a psychological boost in one's ego if your favorite fighter is ranked so high in the P4P list.

You are all forgetting B-Hop. He just fought Winky, an other p4p champ.

    My list:

    1. Mayweather
    2. Calzaghe
    3. Pacquiao
    4. Hopkins
    5. Wright
    6. Hatton
    7. JM Marquez
    8. Vazquez
    9. Juan Diaz
    10. Pavlik

+ winner of Mosley-Cotto will be top 10. Taylor, Casamayor, Kessler, R Marquez are close to be top 10.

No, it's the draw and the loss that make it easy to twist his record.

That and the fact he hasn't held a real title in how long? 03 is the last title fight he won.

The fact is that Pacs record is good, but he's been fighting names, not champs.

Do you think if a guy like Pacquaio was KO'ed by someone like Rustico Torrecampo and Medgoen Singsurat he would be on the top 10 list?

    Get a grip.

Why are you ignoring Winky Wright? He fought a very close one with B-Hop (I had it even) and previously he was considered p4p top5... what happened? Wright is clearly better than Cotto, Pavlik or Hatton....

His performances in the ring haven't looked too impressive recently. His defense is still very good, but he gets hit more, his legs are going, and his speed and shaprness aren't what they once were.

Cotto has looked mighty impressive winning titles at 140 and 147 beating some very good fighters. Pavlik knocked out the man Wright had a draw with and also stopped Edison Miranda. Hatton has defeated Tszyu, Maussa (to unify 140), Collazo (to take a 147 title, albeit in a close fight), and knock out Castillo.

Wright's recent resume includes a close victory over Sam Soliman, a draw with Jermain Taylor, a win over Ike Quartey, and a loss against Bernard Hopkins. I don't think he's top 10 P4P anymore.

I Agree with this......wouldn't even argue that he is #2 behind Floyd.Afterall he is an undefeated Champion......Pac isn't.

for me, cal has a great case for being number one - every big fight (not many, but hear me out), he has not only won, but dominated. no one can really say he had a lucky decision, win, or anything in any of his fights. guys like mitchell, brewster - he dismantled and won very convincingly - he got knocked down, he got back up and returned the favour but more effectively in the same round. lacy was supposed to murder him - no matter what they say no - the whole form most likely had calzaghe to be exposed and knocked out. lacy gets "lacied". sure - the defences against bika and manfredo weren't the best - but they were clear wins - and got him exposed to the world more.

then he fights the guy almost everyone was convinced would win again - he was younger, stronger, won all his fights just as convincingly, held two titles. joe is THRITY FIVE years old. j.l. castillo was 33 when he lost to hatton - and was considered shot and past it - old. he is unbeaten, has won all 4 belts, and only doesnt still hold 5 belts (wbo/wba/wbc/ibf/ring) is because of boxing politics. and for anything else - his style is loved by all, incredibly adaptable, and its how he beat kessler.

now the other main p4p1 is mayweather - also unbeaten. mayweather talks ****. he has to tell everyone who he is, that he is the number 1. he's just retired and came straight back out - the guy is a prima dona and wants attention. his style although lauded a few weightclasses ago, mainly consists of letting him be pushed to the ropes moving to miss punches, hit a couple back, then carry on. dlh was old (as people say - a year younger than cal when he fought mayweather and cal is now nearly 36), tired considerably in the later rounds - and mayweather went to a split decision.

for me - mayweather has the most titles in most weight classes, and had fought better opposition over the years - not to be denied. but p4p is based on current showings.

there is an old boxing adage everyone on here knows, and agrees with.

"you're only as good as your last fight"

pbf - went to split decision doing very little in course of the fight
pac - beat up an older mab who was going to retire after the fight anyway - mab a shadow of what he was a couple of years ago let alone his prime
cal - dominated a guy 7 years younger and is the undisputed super middle weight champion of the world. won every belt. undefeated. a style everyone loves to watch. and lookin at kesslers eye after the fight (and joe didnt really have any marks on his face - other than a small cut over the nose) a pretty hard slapper :D

for me - cal is number 1

IMO, if he's not top 5 it would be a crime that should start a world wide riot. He showed all I needed to see.
