Actually no, resume is too often thrown into the mix with P4P and it clouds peoples judgements. This is why people are left in their P4P spots too long. If you actually watch performances, and judge the fighters abilities you will be much more accurate.
You are speaking about "greatness" dude. NOT P4P standing :deal

And no, I'm not 12. I don't really think it matters how old I am. I'm old enough to stay up late enough to watch fights. And I've also trained for a very long time and am around fighting alot.

And I disagree that GSP is streets ahead of Jones (who I assume your talking about). I'm not discrediting GSP. But as I said, people settle fighters into their P4P spots and refuse to move them until one of them loses. Well the performances that Aldo and Jones just put in merit some attention in the P4P rankings. Hell I think Aldo has been top 3 for a long time, the kid is unbelievable and more capable of finishing and hurting guys then GSP is. Fact is GSP just came up short in impressing the world of MMA and moving him down a spot or two after this performance to make room for some other guys who did impress isn't the worst thing. Settle down. :hi:

it's a good thing most list don't include what you think will or won't happen, has anybody else looked good against Shields? no so because the fight wasn't entertaining doesn't drop him in the list especially with 1 eye after the second round.

And Frankie directly beating BJ definatly puts him ahead of him in the rankings, comparing other fights is absurd.

He keeps calling people out who dont agree with him, says he trains a Caesar Gracie Gym.

Not saying it aint true, but if he wants a fight, me and my homo boys will give them a fisting

Yeah but he only just won the belt and has no other wins against top ten competition. Sure he could prove in his next few fight that he deserves that #3 spot but P4P ranking aren't based on potential. I could forgive him being #10 but #3 is rididulous.

and why the **** has Fedor vanished from everyones lists? One loss and your done... Gray Maynard shouldn't be anywhere near this list while Fedor isn't on it.

Fedor lost 2 in a row, Gray's only lost 1 in TUF which he avenged and has 10 pro wins, including a win & a draw against the guy who beat Penn twice

I agree on both counts. It would be different if the two guys Fedor lost to were able to make the top 10.

Maynard also dominated Kenny Florian, and Florian is probably better than every lightweight outside of Penn, Edgar, and Maynard. I'd have Florian even money against Melendez, and may pick him for the win.

My list would be something like this-

    1. Anderson Silva
    2. Georges St-Pierre
    3. Fedor Emelianenko
    4. Jose Aldo
    5. Frankie Edgar
    6. Gilbert Melendez
    7. Dominick Cruz
    8. Jon Fitch
    9. Jon Jones
    10. Lyoto Machida

I think Melendez out muscles Florian tbh, it's always been Kenny's weakness. But if he could keep it strictly striking for significant periods then Kenny's got a chance

Gray's only other notable win is against the world #1 gatekeeper Kenny Florian and while Siver, Huerta and Jim Miller are good fighters beating them doesn't make you P4P material. Fedor has 31 pro wins in a row and his only losses are against Werdum and Silva. Both of them are good fighters and losses to them hardly removes you completely from the P4P rankings, perhaps I have him ranked a little too high but to remove him completely is stupid.

Fact is Fedor has way more wins than Gray and way more wins over top competition than Gray.
