Has anyone heard of Greg The Steel Pole Kielsa? He had a 130-20 amatuer record, fought for Poland in 2000 Games, and is currently 7-0 (3 KO's). Maybe he is someone that will help us move on from Golota!
He emerged then dissapeared several years ago only to comeback again and make a little noise. Seen one fight of his. OK skill plus fights as a Southpaw(always an advantage).
He is fighting on Versus network October 23rd on the undercard of Orlando Salido v Cristobal Cruz (vacant IBF Featherweight Title fight). Kielsa will face 13-1-1 Heavyweight Kevin Burnett. Last seen of ESPN FNF winning by decision against Horace Ray Grant after being badly knocked down at the end of the fight. The bell rang shortly after the knockdown so the referee continued the count to see if Burnett made it up by the count of 10 which he did but was extremely shaky.
I just BOXRECed him and found out the same. I hope his fight makes on TV as his last one on ESPN surprised me and i barely caught the tale end of it. This time i will be prepared. I still dont know why he dissapeared a few years.I remember when they said he was making his debut a few years back.He lost a year or two for whatever reason.
Just rewatched it to see what i was missing. Didnt do anything spectacular but he is far from garbage and infact looks well schooled. Hard to judge how a fighter will turn out after a 4 rounder.
