Lance Pugmire: Loeffler says the @andreward offer came days after @GGGBoxing had already announced he'd signed to fight @lemieuxboxing.

How is it the truth? We dont know when the fight was supposed to be signde, it could have been after the Lemieux fight, also Loeffler could be lying like he has several times.

    Rest of the tweets:

    1) Just talked to @GGGBoxing promoter @TomLoeffler1 who says the only thing he turned down was an offer to fight in late 2016 at 50-50."
    2) Loeffler notes @GGGBoxing by beating @lemieuxboxing Oct. 17 is mandatory for @Canelo @RealMiguelCotto. So that's a bigger fight.
    3) And if @GGGBoxing draws well on PPV, his value would easily exceed @andreward, says Loeffler. So he turned down a deal that was premature.
    4) Loeffler says the @andreward offer came days after @GGGBoxing had already announced he'd signed to fight @lemieuxboxing.
    5) Loeffler says @andreward approached him after the May-Pac fight and asked to quit mentioning him if there wouldn't be a fight.
    6) Loeffler said the @GGGBoxing camp agreed with that and only answered questions about @andreward if asked.
    7) Clear from my talk with @TomLoeffler1 that he doesn't believe @andreward has proven he can draw an audience outside California.
8 ) Loeffler says the @andreward offer was for he and @GGGBoxing to each take one fight earlier in 2016, then to fight each other after that.
    9) "We've always wanted to fight @andreward since coming to HBO," @TomLoeffler1 said. "That's why Abel said we'd fight anyone from 154-168."
    10) I asked @TomLoeffler1 if he really believes @RealMiguelCotto would fight @GGGBoxing if he beats @Canelo. He said yes, especially if by KO.

That makes sense. I don't know about Ward's PPV numbers but if GGG vs Lemieux is a PPV success shouldn't GGG take more than 50/50 vs Ward who's been inactive for so long?

GGG gets Canelo/Cotto and then is ONE belt from becoming the only current-day unified champion? He's staying at 160 and for a great reason! This is all which would make a 50/50 fight "premature" in the sense that by 2016 GGG could probably be asking for 70/30 for all we know.

Uh yes. But this is Ward. He's also reportedly asking for a share of the PPV money from Canelo/Cotto. No joke.

Also, thank you for adding rest of tweets. :good

So if the offer was in 2016, why did GGG turn it down , if Canelo was going to fight him it would have been by then.

    The offer was for 50/50.

Loeffler is saying if Golovkin beats Lemieux and then beats Canelo, then his status will have been thrown into crossover supers****om- most likely. In which case, the offer was premature because by 2016 Golovkin's status will faaaar outweigh Ward's and he can probably ask for significantly more than 50/50.

    Loeffler is a smart guy.

Little G's team doing damage control. They should just be quiet about it. We know they don't want to fight Ward.

 btw i thought the fihgt was offered after the Lemieux fight was signed, which meant that he couldn't sign . If the fight was in 2016 he could have obviously taken the offer.

That's a lot of ifs, I'm highly doubitng canelo will fight GGG, he's in his mid 20's and his resume is already 100x better than GGG's. He's not going to just jump up to 160 after beating Cotto at 155. If he does huge props though, and GGG isn't getting passed Canelo anyways.

If you were GGG wouldn't you want to discuss the financial terms with Ward after you have beaten Lemieux and Canelo while scoring whopping PPV numbers in the process? No one knows what Ward will do until then and with this (possible) scenario there's a good chance GGG can claim as much as 70/30 of the PPV rather than 50/50.
