    Triple G will not be deserving of more than 50/50 unless he gets a Canelo fight first and wins. That's the only way he will become much of a PPV draw, or perceived PPV draw at least. I don't get why you use numbers from BET when you know full well that if Ward had been on HBO the numbers would have been much higher. Either way it says nothing about who would sell more in a PPV. Niether is a PPV draw as of yet. If Little G isn't going to fight Ward, so be it. His team doesn't need to pretend they want it or make excuses.

    Nope. Never said he was undisputed. But he is "unified".

    And the winner of Golovkin-Lemieux will be a "unified champion" as well.

    Like I said, you're not understanding the use of the word in context.

    One more thing to add. Floyd did 900k on his ppv against Maidana before the Pac fight, Pac did 300k against Algieri.

    Guess what the fight was 55/45, what delusional GGG fans think he's going to get 70/30? If Ward continues to fight on BET and draw those numbers sure, but that's high unlikely to happen.

    Absolutely no one. They seem intent to wait for the PPV goldmine of a Canelo fight. I have no doubt Canelo would fight him but how long will Oscar hold off on letting that happen? Triple G may be 35+ years old by the time it happens. Maybe he is content to wait for that retirement check rather than build a great resume though. :rasta

    Who do you think will Ward fight? He's not in a better position than GGG when it comes to getting big fights. He's becoming a high risk/low reward opponent for everyone since he's gone inactive and lost what's left of his mediocre popularity.

    Unified-two or more belts (heck Akio Shibata is a "unified" champion)
    Undisputed-All the major belts (or "no dispute over who the best is")

    Yep! Why would Oscar let Canelo anywhere near GGG when he saw all the money Floyd and Pac got by WAITING? Canelo is how old? Only a couple years passed legal drinking age? And GGG is mid 30s? They'd be fools to rush into something like that.

    Now Andy Lee would be a feasible option, but my question was clearly predicated on the premise that Lee had already been bested by BJS.

    My main point being, a fight between Ward and Golovkin is not as far off as so many seem to think. It could definitely be something in play for next year.

    Look at all the hoopla any thread involving Ward-Golovkin gets around here. And I think GGG will man up and face Ward long before Oscar allows Canelo to man up and face GGG.

    He always has the option to move up and fight Kovalev, Stevenson or Artur. Any of those guys would love to fight someone of Ward's caliber.

    By the way, I believe no one knows what weight did Ward's team propose for the fight. That's a major obstacle for this fight as well. I'd imagine Ward's team proposed 168 and GGG's team would prefer 164. Ward would have a hard time making 164 at this point. So yeah..

    Kovalev is the only option for Ward at 175 and I don't imagine he'll take that fight anytime soon. He'd be out of his mind to fight Beterbiev at this point who's a super high risk with a very low reward in the US at the moment.
