    Let me provide clarification.

If Canelo refuses GGG, he'll be stripped and Golovkin will be made the WBC title-holder. Then, if he beats Lee, he'll become undisputed.

Kovalev isn't undisputed yet and Golovkin isn't undisputed yet, but I feel like GGG is the closest out of everyone to becoming undisputed. He could become undisputed in the next year which is his focus. I'm pretty certain the belt Kovalev needs is being blatantly held from him, no?

The four major sanctioning bodies are WBA (which Golovkin has), WBO, WBC, and IBF. So, he beats Lee and gets WBO. He beats Lemieux and gets IBF. And then beats Canelo (or Canelo is stripped) and gets WBC. He'd become the undisputed unified champion.

LMFAO @ Oscar being too coked up. Yes, I feel Canelo has most of the advantages and favor him 60/40 but Cotto has the skills to outbox him. I just doubt he can keep it up for 12 rounds. Triple G fans I think pray Canelo wins more than anything I believe because they feel there is at least some chance he would fight him, eventually. With Cotto they know it's even less likely (oddly enough I don't see Cotto's chance of beating Little G as being much worse than Canelo's).

I think GGG would have a chance to stop Adonis since Boone did and he's basically a blown up Middleweight and GGG hits way harder, but he has no chance against Kovalev, and GGG fans are crazy if they think he does, that sparring session happened at the end of GGG's training camp and right when Kovalev started training for his next fight and was out of shape. Supposedly GGG dropped Kovalev with a body shot and Kovalev got back up and the continue sparring and GGG was complaining of headaches for a day or two afterwards.

Can Kovalev even make 172?

I guess it would have to be at 175, in some vague hypothetical situation where, in a few years, Kovalev is a long reigning 175 pound power house, and GGG has cleaned out 160 and 168.

OK. I think you're smoking some incredible stuff, but I follow where you were going with this.

I don't think the WBC will strip Canelo - ever - under any circumstances. And I think Lee-BJS is 50-50 assuming it still happens, which I haven't followed closely.

But right now GGG has 1 belt; Kovalev has 3. GGG will have 2 next month when he clobbers Lemieux. But I still think GGG needs far more breaks than Kovalev does to get the 1 he needs.

Oh! And not to be a wise guy, but "undisputed unified" is a bit redundant. It's usually either "unified champion" or "undisputed champion". And 10 years ago or so, "undisputed" used to typically mean the big 3 - WBC, WBA, and IBF - instead of the big 4 like it does now, when somehow the WBO gained enough credibility to be held in the same regard as the other 3 corrupt alphabet groups.

They are both Boone victims alright. Boxing isn't all about the scorecards. One can argue Garcia is not the same since Matthysse - even though he won, he's (in a way) a Matthysse victim.

That wasn't a serious comment anyway.

Man, if Canelo faces GGG after fight with Cotto, and if Lee/Saunders falls through or Lee wins and faces GGG in 2016... Then you are going to owe me a LOT of credit. Lol

If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I'll eat my crow. But I've been pretty dang good with my predictions on what fights happen thus far, so I'm comfortably confident.

It's okay. I appreciate the vernacular corrections. I'm learning as fast as I can, and sometimes I get terms mixed up or confused.

I kinda like the way undisputed unified champion sounds though, hah.
