Good to see Wladimir is finally receiving the respect and recognition he has long deserved.

There will always be a few that disparage him, and it's obvious why.

But thankfully, most people can get past those prejudices and be fair. :good

Being "stripped" isn't neccessarily the same as dropping off the p4p list - it Means you lose your "the Ring" championship title.

So you obviously don't understand the concept of undervalued do you?

If you are a pound for pound entrant and an ATG and people with a 1/16 th of your skill are more well known by the general public that constitutes to being undervalued and overlooked by the general public no matter what a man like yourself who's showing himself to be thick as fcuk says.

Where's the dissection of Norris oh wise one or have you already looked it up as the boxrec warrior you are.

Your whole outlook is a joke. You originally stated Lopez was overlooked as a p4p fighter. The FACT is he wasnt. He was a top ten p4p fighter for nearly a decade. So who's being "thick as fcuk"? Now you want to throw in undervalued when you clearly dont understand the business aspect of the sport. If a fighter attracts an audience, whether theyre great or not, they get paid because the promoter makes more money. If they dont draw they dont recieve the same payday because the promoter doesnt make as much of a return. This is simple business. As far as Norris goes, yes i had to look it up just as i know you did. I dont agree with him being ranked higher at that time but p4p is subjective. There is no doubt Norris was one of the most skilled fighters of his time. But thats not what we're debating, are we? We're debating your stupidity in saying a top ten p4p fighter for nearly a decade was overlooked. You're now trying to establish he was undervalued because ive proven you wrong, yet you have no idea how business works or the concept of supply and demand. :yep

    Read more carefully...

    its says "scheduled"

Wlad/Povetkin was announced as a done deal on July 2, 2013. So he just met the 2 year deadline as Haye/Wlad was July 2, 2011.

I'm not sure about the other ones, but Wlad seemed to at least be mindful of the RING's rules.

But time is certainly up on Ward.

The whole concept of P4P is fundamentally flawed IMO. It's almost as unrealistic to compare fighters from different divisions (unless they're almost adjacent) as it is to compare fighters from different eras (with a similar caveat).

Still, if you are going to discuss it, it'd make sense if everyone was using the same definitions for what P4P actually represents - which they clearly aren't.

Floyd could not smash a top 20 fighter, never mind the #1 contender.

He talked about that he was ok with him still being their champ as a sidenote (within the rules), but they should not keep an inactive fighter in their P4P list.
So I responded that he already violated the rules to keep him as the Ring champ too.

Deservedly so, I suppose. Not really sure why they keep Ward up there when he doesn't even have a fight lined up.
