But you can given there’s a number of fighters out of contract and they have a massive budget. What stopped them signing over the last few months, Whyte, Catterall, Callum smith, Liam smith, Ritson, Charlie Edwards, Dickinson, Williamson, Josh kelly to name a few. 6 of those fighters atleast could have either headlined or conheadlined Sky cards and given them bigger names. For the budget boxxer have the signings have been mostly prospects who will take years to build into headliners
And rightly so. He promises so much and delivers very very occasionally, whilst boasting about how wonderful his cards are when they're not and slagging off everyone else.
The Smith’s are with Matchroom and most of those others chose the Probellum drug money. I reckon Whyte will end up back on Sky.
always a must watch to see Eggington in action, he's always in exciting to watch fights. But the rest of the card is missable . I think boxxer need to step their game up.
None of this smiths have contracts and with the spare money Sky have in their budget they could have been tempted. not saying they would have got them but the headliners on Sky are woeful. Frank lured Warrington, frampton on etc to BT relatively quickly before it fell flat. No reason boxxer couldn’t have done the same given the budget they have
Right now there is a clear strength advantage for DAZN UK / Matchroom but wait and see what the situation looks like in 18 - 24 months time.
I know there are several of Matchroom's boxers who are switching to Boxxer / Sky Sports. You can wait and see if I'm right.
Adam Smith will know full well what each of them bring to the table viewers wise and my bet is he'd rather use the budget on new talent
Has Shalom bought Kinahans share of Hennessey Boxing? given we essentially have a Hennessey boxing show on Sky on Saturday with Eggington, Benjamin, McKenna and Wilson Bent all on the show
I'm really looking forward to see Adam Azim in action tonight. Have heard that in sparring he easily outboxes boxers who on paper are far stronger and better than himself. The potential is huge.
