Moreno's record may have been incomplete/limited, but stayed right with a top contender in the 70;s in an Olympic forum main event. I get where you're coming from in wanting to exclude anonymous club fights but this contest was significant enough to warrant inclusion, especially given the context of what happened before the KO.

I'll defer to the majority opinion on this, but personally see no problem with including highlight reel Kos by legends even if they were against overmatched opposition.

I would personally argue that a knock out is more "spectacular" when it's a significant fight against a tough opponent, but if there's an especially aesthetically pleasing KO, say Tyson KO1 Michael Johnson, that someone included I wouldn't find that objectionable personally.

I think it would be a shame if no one nominated Deontay Wilder for the "Top 25 Most Spectacular Knockouts".
This knockout fits all the rules.
Deontay Wilder doesn't have the best accuracy, but unlike Luis Ortiz 2, in this case Wilder planted his left hand on his opponent's head and then delivered a nuclear right; supreme precision.

The reaction of Artur Szpilka's wife was interesting ("Have I become a widow")?

I must preface this list with an apology for the number of heavyweight KOs I have included. However I have thought about this in detail and feel this list is worthy of a top 25 KOs of all time. Whilst not at the top of my list, it includes arguably the most perfect punch ever thrown from Sugar Ray Robinson. The sheer ferocity of the KOs from Tyson, Jackson, Liston, Wilder, Foreman, Mercer and Hearns to the come from behind, seemingly last gasp/impossible KOs of Marciano, Chavez, Weaver and Corrales. There is also a mix of perfectly timed, wet dream KOs from Witherspoon, Martinez, Pacquiao, Froch, Tarver and Marquez. And the pure magic of supposedly past it legends in Ali and Duran KOing their much favoured opponents, I simply couldn’t overlook. And then there is the comedic value of the KOs from Thunder and Tszyu. I hope you can enjoy these as much as I do.

    1. Julian Jackson KO4 Herol Graham
    2. Rocky Marciano KO13 Jersey Joe Walcott
    3. Thomas Hearns KO2 Roberto Duran
    4. Sugar Ray Robinson KO5 Gene Fulmer
    5. Sergio Martinez KO2 Paul Williams
    6. Sonny Liston KO1 Floyd Patterson x 2
    7. Juan Manuel Maquez KO6 Manny Pacquiao
    8. Tim Witherspoon KO1 Anders Eklund
    9. Ray Mercer KO5 Tommy Morrison

OK, for what it's worth, I do notice on my list some really prominent ones missing but I do attribute this to some of them being over-saturated in my mind, I have seen them so many times. My list could change at any given time, but for now, here are the KOs that most impress me today. @Rumsfeld I went with your original rules of top or fringe contenders only.

    1) Sugar Ray Robinson KO3 Rocky Graziano
    2) Donald Curry KO2 Milt McCrory
    3) Tommy Hearns KO2 Roberto Duran
    4) Sugar Ray Robinson KO5 Gene Fullmer II
    5) Joe Frazier KO4 Jimmy Ellis I
    6) Ruben Olivares KO4 Efren Torres
    7) Ezzard Charles KO2 Bob Satterfield
    8) Jersey Joe Walcott KO7 Ezzard Charles III
    9) Rocky Marciano KO13 Jersey Joe Walcott I
    10) Tony Zale KO3 Rocky Graziano III
    11) Rubin Carter KO1 Florentino Fernandez
    12) Julian Jackson KO3 Buster Drayton
    13) Ray Leonard KO4 Dave Boy Green
    14) Joe Louis KO2 Johnny Paychek
    15) Joe Louis KO5 Al Ettore
    16) Floyd Patterson KO5 Ingemar Johannson II
    17) Sonny Liston KO2 Cleveland Williams II
    18) Leotis Martin KO9 Sonny Liston
    19) Victor Galindez KO15 Richie Kates I
    20) Edwin Rosario KO3 Edwin Viruet
    21) Julian Jackson KO2 Terry Norris
    22) Ron Lyle KO6 Earnie Shavers
    23) Felix Trinidad KO12 Fernando Vargas
    24) Dick Tiger KO6 Jose Gonzalez
    25) LeeRoy Murphy KO12 Chisanda Mutti

I'm going to try to stay with this unless something really wild creeps back into my mind. Have fun, guys.

But please note, the TKO standard should still apply:
"But in the case of a TKO, the losing fighter must have been dropped in the immediate lead-up to the ref (or corner) waving it off. "
