*NEW* The Ring P4P Rankings - Cotto is GONE!

I have to admit, even though I like Ricky, Cotto should be in that spot. Cotto at 8 and Ricky would be 11. The lighter guys do no get enough credit and they are solid, solid fighters. Unfortunatly, I think BOTH Ricky and Cotto my be affected by be the severe beating they both took in thier big knockout losses and my soon fade away. However, only time will tell about that point.

 

i agree he shouldn't be. he hasn't beaten a p4p top 10 fighter yet, only fought for vacant titles, and was made to quit in his last (proper) fight by a fighter who wasn't in the top 25 p4p before the fight. that's not p4p top 10 material.

Hatton DOES deserve to be in the top 10. He fights against top P4P fighters, and beats the top contenders in his division, sure he's had a few iffy fights, but so have other so-called 'Elite' fighters. People dislike his wrestling style, but he didn't do that against Paulie at all (although he could've) and seems to be making a concerted effort to be more crowd-friendly (i.e not HIS crowd, the general boxing public) and people still say he's rubbish. What is rubbish about mauiling people up and battering him, isn't it exactly what Mosley did to Marg. The fact that Hatton manages to pull it off without the natural athleticism and speed of someone like Mosley is even more impressive IMO.

Surely that just adds something to the contest? Like, how is Pac gonna' get away from Hatton if he smothers him. There is a method to his madness, he's a terrific puncher, tough as nails, has only lost once (to the top P4P) and is now going in with the no.1 P4P again. He has underrated footspeed as well.

How he isn't top 10 P4P in everyone's eyes I don't know, but Vasquez (who I have at no.4 by the way) is due to a terrific three series with Marquez, a comeback win after being nearly trounced by B-class Jhonny Gonzalez.....and that's it.

And I'm saying Vasquez deserves a top five placing. Yet Hatton doesn't warrant a top 10 placing? Unbelievable.

Hatton may not always be that exciting, but when he turns it on there aren't many better fighters. He's also one of the best boy punchers in the game.

I'm no nuthugger, but I'm just trying to set the haters straight.





By the way, no Cotto?????? Unbelievable, no.6 in my list, especially considering he was no.4 before the Margo loss, Margo is now a proven cheater, and the guy that did beat Margo was soundly beaten by Cotto (close but clear 115-113 in my book)

 

Sorry roly I know you have your opinion but I disagree with it this time. He's higher than Hatton IMO

 

Let me say this one more time. The whole P4P concept is BULL****!! Everybody has a different list. True is there is not standards and this not measurable. Its just matter of opinion. You grab your favorite fighter and make it number one. So they make a list with the boxers they want to sell. This nothing but marketing strategies. What the hell P4P does P4P mean????? Really..... Does that mean Calderon could beat Hatton or Vic??? NO!!!
Keep the boxers in their weight classes. I am really tired of this bull****!!!!
