The reason that team Pacquiao is so reluncent to agree to the Olympic Style Drug testing is not that theyare afried of the results. Pacquiao is going to test nagtive to what ever drug tests he takes. If he is using PED's they will cycle him off of them, and if he is not well the test will prove this.
My theory is that they are trying to "win" as much of the negoitions as they can.
Lets look at the key points.
Date March 13 2010. I'm still not sure who wanted this date. Mayweather suporters insist that it was Pacquiao's chosing, and Pacquiao suporters say Mayweather chose the date.
Glove size. 8oz gloves. While this is the standered for a 147 Lbs fight Mayweather wanted 10oz gloves. Mayweather is known to have a history of hand problems. On the surfice this apears to be a victory for Pacquiao. But don't be so quick in your verdict. When was the last time Mayweather had a hand injury? Mayweather has a verygood chin and quick reflexes. Pacquio is going to be open to the counter punch. The lighter glove means more speed in Mayweather's punches as well. Speed = Power = Knockout.
Weight 147 Lbs. Pacquiao has fought Oscar De La Hoya who was an 154 Lbs boxer who he got to come down in weight to fight him. De La Hoya was weight drained and it had an effect on the fight. This is Pacquiao's only bout at 147. His fight against Miguel Cotto was at 145. Mayweather has been at the weight since 2005. His body is more acustomed to the weight.
10 million dollar per Lb over 147 fine for Mayweather. Do you really think that someone who has weighed in at 147 or more for 2/40 bouts and one of those was a 154 Lbs fight is going to come in over 147?
Location MGM Grand Las Vages Nevada. Did anyone really think this fight was going to be anywhere else. The MGM Grand is where all the big fights happen. The location dose slightly favor Mayweather who lives in Vages and will just have to get out of his own bed. While Pacquiao will have to stay at a hotel before the fight.
Every part of this deal either favors Mayweather or is even. The drug testing deal is the last part of the deal and I beleve that Team Pacquiao wants one clear victory over Team Mayweather in the negoitions.

There's just a lot of ego between the two sides, and neither one wants to back down. That's how it always is. For all the potential money though, they'll come to some kind of consensus.

It's going to be that big of a fight...that is unless Mayweather can sabotage it and still make it look like Pac's fault.

PR wise they sure picked one hell of a bad place to make their stand then.

If Manny really wants to own Floyd he should just sure. I'll do your stupid testing but its 1 million dollars everytime that needle goes in my arm. Balls in your court floyd.
