pac at any point in oscars career gives him hell he just couldnt handle the footspeed and the in out style. De la hoya has always been fairly plodding with his footwork when faced with speed, he never cuts off the ring and he struggles with southpaws. Manny had too much variety for him
was there more than three clinches in the whole fight ?? thats where the bigger man dominates .....oscar didnt want to fight period
prime "HOYA" (lol) > pac ( pac might win but almost unlikely to happen ) ODLH ( vs. pbf version ) < pac IMO
Now there saying he's SHOT.Sounded different before the fight. Din't you'se said this particular fight is a Circus.Oscar got clowned. Not Pac's fault you believed Dundee's propaganda and loss some money.
I made a thread about this a few months ago...people couldnt point out on tape what was different with DLH since PBF. The only thing they could argue was that Freddie said he was weight drained...ok he may have been but first 3 rounds he should have atleast made an impression. DLH moved, punched and boxed exactly the way he did against Forbes, PBF & even Mayorga. Slow, calculated & flatfooted. Pac's foot & hand speed EXPOSED that.
147 was just too much for DLH. He wasted all his training time on cutting weight. He thought he could still impose his size advantage on pac, but at the end of the day, pac imposed his incredible skills on Oscar. SPEED KILLS!---that's what made Oscar look soooo shot on his last fight.
He had to clinch Pac to have any moment of Glory or pin him on the ropes...he had no hope in the center of the ring. He was getting swatted.. PAC too fast for him.
Yep, but handsight really is 20/20. Sometimes you can't see things when all the dust is in the air, you have to step back and let it settle. Sometimes you can't see what's going on with a fighter but when the fighter retires it all makes sense.
