A judge in Las Vegas agreed Wednesday to let Floyd Mayweather Jr. remain free pending a Feb. 3 trial date on a misdemeanor battery complaint alleging he poked a security guard in the face several times during a confrontation outside Mayweather's home.

A conviction on the battery charge could result in a six-month jail sentence and a $1,000 fine.

Mayweather was already free on $33,000 bail on unrelated felony coercion, grand larceny and robbery charges pending a Jan. 24 court date. That case stems from a September dispute with Mayweather's children and their mother, Josie Harris, at her house. He could face up to 34 years in prison if convicted in that case.

    Turner implored the judge Wednesday

Honestly Floyd is the main reason while TOP rank and GBP are fighting right now and I would love for Sinclair to go away forever. Not necessarily to prison but retire permanently!!!!

Haha what is wrong with them. They are all boxing talented. Its very rare to be amazing at something like Mayweather Jr is with boxing talent but he's also amazing at marketing himself. I don't like the way he does it but he's brilliant at it. It's really a shame these guys are criminals by nature seemingly. Come on Mayweather-Pacquiao show people what this sport if capable of pulling together when it wants.

if I was a judge it would be quite simple:

Mr Mayweather, you either spend 34 years in jail or....

    1) Fight Manny Pacquiao
    2) 50/50 split
    3) No random drug testing

    Which do you prefer?

Even the people Mayweather has aggrivated I'm sure would like this

Just 3 options??? WTH, add 150M to that! 34 yrs might not be too bad compared to those options!:admin

...so in the worst case scenario he'll be out by August? Still time to make a December fight.

EDIT - Didn't see the 34-year sentence for the other case. Thought that was already proven to be a hoax though. Story keeps changing every time I hear about it.

Why does your text not match the link. There is no 'he could face up to 34years in prison'

The whole battery charge does seems very bizarre, I mean poking someone is battery now? Unless perhaps he poked him full force in the eye
