new ufc video game demo (real gameplay)

Wow, I can't wait to buy this.

The first few vids have been removed. They were taking presale orders for this game at the Gamestop the other day.

 

This video is a rendered movie that they made showing what they WANTED the game to look like, if my understanding is correct. At no point during the actual development of the game did it look like this. If it did, it would be one of the greatest looking games of all time graphically.

The current stuff they are pushing out looks very good, particularly when you take into account how demanding it is to create a good MMA game. It took EA years and years of failed attempts to make a good BOXING game, and boxing is a much simpler conversion to video games than MMA is.

 

This game looks so sick ill probablly use Anderson Silva alot and knee people to death.

 

I hope you have 360 and xbox live, i'll finally beat the **** out of you, with GSP.

 

I only have ps2 and when I upgrade its to 3 im not an X-Box guy I perfer Playstations controllers.

Oh and there are only three striking and three grappling styles? That sucks.

 

What sucks is you can only use 1 of each so what happens if I choose wrestling I can take dudes down but cant submitt them or I can submit just I cant take them down ? Im assuming if you pick to box you cant leg kick :-(

 

yea that is stupid, I believe everyone will be disappointed in this game. They took along time in making the game and to be honest I don't think it looks much better then that Pride game 10 years ago. As far as creating a fighter it seems as though it will be very restrictive, unlike that older game. I'm gonna be suprised if it is better then o.k.

Yeah you make a good point. It would be a bit silly if it turns out to be the case. On the official site some fighters have more then 2 strengths. For example, Rashad is listed as having Wrestling/Kickboxing/Boxing. GSP has 5, BBJ/boxing/wrestling/karate (this style wasn't mentioned in the video) and muai thai. Hopefully THQ makes things more clearer but it wouldn't surprise me if boxers can kick (maybe they will have less variety and won't be as powerful?) and non BJJ guys can pull of subs (They won't have as much subs as specialists and the subs will be more difficult to pull off?)

Can't believe there is No Randy (heard there was problems getting his rights a while back), Cote, Hamill or even Guida. Those guys have been around long enough to have made the list. Would have been good to see upcomers like Cane, Carwin, Palhares, Hazelett (and a few others I can't think of right now) in the game too. But on the other hand there are some big names (Tito, Cro Cop, Arlovski, Sylvia) who are not with the ufc anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if they release a DLC in the future. Overall, I think its a pretty good (and big) list.

 

Does anyone remember the UFC game for PSone? It was pretty good. You would get submitted fast on harder settings.

Looking forward to it. Hopefully there is a followup and EA Sports does it.

 

character models aint as good as i expected. still not sure about this this game. I swear King of Colisseum (Japanese wrestling game) had better MMA action than this. The mechanics on KOC were nice!!

I remember when the first few vids were shown and the internet was going crazy. people couldnt seem to grasp the fact they were rendered videos and the game would not look like that.
