I can see the trainer is working a lot on miguels footwork, as evidenced in the margarito fight.

This will be the most fleet footed opponent Floyd has dealt with in a long time. We'll see just how far Floyd's skills at applying pressure go.

    This.

I'm really not sure how the fight will go but I'm certain that floyd will be very unconfortable.

    Thanks for posting.

The quotes by Diaz in this article make him look even more secretive. He mentions that he and Miguel talk in a language only they understand, that of combat; he says things to him in the ring or when they're running together that nobody else needs to hear, even members of their own team, because the zone between a boxer and trainer requires a special kind of communication, and they have established the right tactics.

After watching the drills they were doing, it looks like Diaz is making sure Cotto can be in position to punch while still dominating the center and cutting off exits. Floyd is good at running alongside the perimeter to create space and walk opponents into traps, and it looks like Diaz is ensuring he can keep his feet under him while throwing as many punches as he can. What I also like is that during this drill, Pedro will start coming forward, which mimics Floyd assuming the roll of the aggressor, and has Cotto turning him and walking him into shots according to the direction he's pivoting in; stepping left, and using that momentum to pivot back into a left hook as Pedro turns to follow him; stepping right, and throwing a 1-2. Good stuff.

Too much is at stake to give Cotto a victory.... if he does not figure out how to Ko Floyd all the training is pointless

Pedro is one crazy dude... they are only showing what they want to show on Video... he even says that most in the camp have no clue as to what their strategy will be, that only he and Cotto know, that they go talk alone away from microphone and video to work on strategy... on video they only showing him working on other assets of fight, but the fight plan is different.. i wonder what it will be...
