Vitali Klitschko struggled a bit with the language barrier, It didnt help the interviewer bombarded him with other questions whilst he was in the middle of trying to explain himself along with subtle digs Im not fully aware of Ukranian politics but Vitali defended himself pretty well Keep in mind this is a show that is on at 4.30 in the morning in the UK on the BBC whose only boxing broadcasts lately have been mostly amateur shows and very rarely at that, Vitali went on the show to talk politics but the interviewer tried to use boxing to try and wrongly discriminate him. What I do realise is that the Ukraine is a very harsh country, both on the political side of things and some (not all) of the Ukranian Citizens. There is Racism everywhere in the world but there was a lot of controversey with racist remarks and premeditated assaults on foreigners coming to the Ukraine to watch the Euro 2012 cup so Its not an easy task for anyone to try and change Vitali tried to defend himself and did particularly well considering the ******* of an interviewer he had
Vitali should say if he wants to fight again or not. It is a shame how he is playing games. Same in 2005. Than the WBC forced him to fight his mandatory Hasim Rahman, he retired.
Vitali did not retire because he was afraid of Rahman for God's sake! Vitali would have knocked Rahman out even with an injury, but he did not want to take a chance of fighting injured like the Byrd fight. Vitali retired to heal up and he did. He came back and broke boxing record and stopped Peter for the WBC championship after being off for approx. 4 years. He had one injury after another from his kickboxing years. I am glad he took some time off. I still have a lot of problems from old injuries from years ago because of PKA full contact kickboxing. We didn't even have a ringside doctor back then. Vitali is a true warrior and I will miss him. He will be retiring fairly soon, so all the haters can rejoice. Damn, Vitali was awesome as a kickboxer, did kickboxing and boxing at the same time. Seems like yesterday when he knocked out Herbie Hide in London, Vitali was a five to one underdog. Vitali knocked Hide out in the second round, I thought Hide was dead, his legs went so stiff while on the canvas.........Vitali and Vlad are my favorite fighters of all time. When Vitali does retire I think the WBC will give Arreola the WBC title and will never allow Vlad a chance to fight for that title. You can say titles mean nothing, but they actually do. Klitschkos had to work so hard to get those titles, once they're gone we will see several heavyweight champions, just watch and see. I hate the ABC's, we need a real government commission to control boxing so that anyone who gets a shot at the title will have to earn it. By the way, these champions will never fight each other, just fight winos from the alley. Just watched what appeared to be a crooked referee tonight, bad decisions, bad refs, mismatches, etc. Vitali should go ahead and fight as much as possible the next year or so. Vlad should fight four times per year to create his legacy, time does not stop, old age will always win in the end. Do it now, then they will have the rest of their lives for other things such as politics. I think Vlad will eventually go into politics also. I really fear for their lives, esp. while they are in Ukraine. By they way, when I talk about Arreola and the WBC, there is a reason for such. Figure it out..................it makes sense.................... One thing I know about Vitali, he is not afraid of anyone, has a rock chin, great timing, knows his distance, and when necessary he can fight on the inside. I admire him greatly..................Anyone who hates Vitali also hates Vlad. They are really one. If something were to happen to Vitali, Vlad would be extremely depressed the rest of his life, same with Vitali about Vlad. As far as Vlad goes, he does not have a glass chin, that is a myth, Steward made that clear years ago. Vlad is not afraid either................remember, Vlad has the same blood as Vitali, enjoy them while we have them, they will be missed whenever they do retire. They are so far above all the other heavyweights it's incredible.................There will never be another heavyweight like the Klitschkos.............they are in a class of their own.
