New WBA heavyweight rankings

    Well at least Gaye is no longer #1. Interesting that Arreola is now #2. Maybe Arreola will get a crack at Ortiz soon. Ortiz is now with Golden Boy promotions. Not a bad idea for Arreola because if Arreola got the WBC title, he wouldn't hold it for long. But if he gets the WBA title he can take a few easy defenses and then the big pay-day vrs. Wlad.

    On the other hand, Ortiz is possibly a harder fight than Stiverne...it depends how tough Ortiz is and Ortiz hasn't really been tested.

    Wilder has never fought anyone who is ranked period! I guess the gave him the ranking because he beat Sconiers?! Crooked boxing rankings!

    The WBA has had completely bogus HW rankings for many years now. Mediocre or far over the hill boxers getting shot after shot. Boxers suddenly getting a ranking when their champ wants to have a easy fight even if they didn't fight for a while. Often replacing much more deserving fighters.

    It's the most corrupted org around.
