Acording to fightnews.com: The WBC has declared reigning heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko to be the greatest puncher ever in the heavyweight division. Official WBC Statement: [Vitali] Klitschko proved that he is the best fighter in the world nowadays, pound for pound, after defeating Juan Carlos Gomez who had a record of 35 knockouts in 44 wins and only 1 loss. Klitschko has outdone all other fighters, no matter what division they belong to. The heavyweight world champion is the only one who can claim he is the greatest champion in the world of boxing as nobody can defeat him. With Vitali´s extraordinary wins, in fights that have been stunning to world fans, showing absolute control and power, our king of the heavyweights has silenced many mouths and media that had unfairly attacked him without any evidence, and been disrespectful to him, considering the great class he is showing. Jose Sulaiman, president of our organization, stated today that Klitschko is the pride the WBC as well as he is the pride of world boxing. Vitlai Klitschkos record is now: 37 wins; 36 of them by knockout, and including his last win by KO, his percentage in this specialty went up to 97.2%, fact after which Klitschko is placed as the greatest puncher ever in the heavyweight division.
:tiredWow. Vitali has his head shoved so far up Jose Suliaman's ass, he knows what goes through the digestive tract on an hourly basis.
Isn't that a great motivatoin for all upcoming fighters? If you happen to quit in a fight against a champion beacuse of a hurting shoulder, all you have to do is to lose one more championship fight on cuts to become a "king of the heavyweights with absolute control and power, the greatest puncher ever".
Jose Suliman is a Joke. And the WBC makes me sick. Where on earth do they think they have the right to be making any of these claims? Best p4p in boxing? Greatest puncher of all time? These guys are a freaking sanctioning body not a dick sucking squad.
I would say his KO ratio is 92.3% Still, a VERY impressive KO percentage. I'm not sure if it's matched or not by any champs. Not including defeats is dumb. If a fighter wins one fight his whole career and does so by KO, but then loses 50 more fights, do you brag about a 100% KO ratio?
He didn't look to powerfull against Gomez. Looked more like his shinning attribute was his height/reach.
This is hilarious. They are right though not one fighter in the World today can beat Vitali Klitschko. As long as he wants to stick around he can. It is hilarious how desperate people are for him to lose. :rofl
What are you smoking? Edit: Heck. It's for real. The press-release http://www.wbcboxing.com/WBCboxing/...docId=2213&docTipo=9&orderby=docid&sortby=ASC. Could it be hackers? Now I doubt it.
