Second slide of the Instagram post embedded in the OP. "If you turn down a world title shot from the WBO champ, you get totally removed from the WBO rankings" Happened with Sheeraz when he declined Alimkhanuly - he's gone, no longer rated by the WBO.
What if the challenger is injured? Has recently fought? Isn't mentally prepared? And what is the rule for the champ? Can he turn down the challenger? Will he be stripped if the doesn't?
This feels like a solution in search of a problem or a solution that doesn't address the problem. The point of ducking is waiting until you get a title shot. Fighters aren't ducking title shots they are ducking high end non title fights because thats in their interest. Also if ducking title fights was a problem without 4 bodies doing this it means little. Someone with the leverage to turn down a WBO world title shot is probably ranked by another body. If you're in the position to "duck" a WBO title fight you're probably in multiple rankings. The fighter effected by this regulation is the fighter who is in the WBO rankings but not the other 3 and they shouldn't be getting title shots in the first place.
Doesn't really help if the main duckers are Champs that do not fight the best challenges in their division?
