I am brand new to training boxing and need a pair of gloves of my own. For now im only doing bag work, but am looking to do some sparring later on. I have been informed to get a pair for bag work and a pair for sparring (let me know if i have been misinformed...)
    I am 179 (5ft 8,7i) and weigh 72kg (159p)
Budget wise, i was thinking no more than 120€ in total.

I would really appreciate if someone could help me in the right direction with what to choose here, as the many options are a bit overwhelming...

    For sparring ---- Rival gloves

For training and bag punching ---- Rival gloves

Use different gloves for sparring and bag punching

its a tough question. For hard sparring, you should have the same gloves as your sparring partner, and the gym (coach) should provide it. If you are doing lighter sparring with your own gloves, 16oz would be OK. For bag, I would use 12oz or less. There is a lot of good brands, see what suits you. My advice would be to buy cheaper gloves in start. When you break them you will already know which gloves will be your next.
