Scott took Rounds 1, 5, 9, 10, 11 and 12. The others were very close and a draw wouldn't have surprised me. Cheeseman boxed tactically and disciplined for once but once Scott started catching him with some spiteful body shots, he slowed down and Scott's strength late in the fight again shone through. Needs a Preston defence next Spring at Deepdale. #andthenewbritishchampion

The more I think about it, the more it is plausible. The Geordies turn out in huge numbers to watch gash every week under Stephanie Bruce so there is a chance that they come out to watch a domestic level Geordie marketed by Eh Day as the next Sugar Ray. Taylor should bring a few across the border as well so it could easily be a 30,000 to 40,000 crowd if they throw in Pudding Chisora or Pudding Whyte on the undercard to be knocked out by Martin Bakole. A Scottish double in England would be very rare
Great last two fights, really enjoyed them both. Commentary on sky is pathetic and is getting worse. Literally just cheerleading who they want to win the whole fight. Awful.
I can’t blame Ritson for going for the life changing money, but in the longer run he could go further if he kept developing and stepping up gradually. Robbie Davies Jn is a very good scalp, and Ritson deserves credit for pipping him at the post. That win could really push him on and I think a fight with someone like Flanagan, Ohara or evening that Ryan Martin lad...could really help him to get stronger at the weight. He is still not a natural 140 & throwing him in with an elite level 140 is just daft imo. Taylor and Prograis stop him in 6. Short term thinking from Hearn this. Keep him winning, and grow that support in Newcastle.
