I'll vogue for you.. Divac has been one of floyd's biggest credit next to blade runner..
Now with that said, people who defend pac on this issue are ether new to the sport or not looking at the scope of what is happening.. NO fighter in boxing history Boxing has ever moved up from 106 to 147 and retained power and speed.. Ever!! Which all the more reason, that pac would want to take the test and prove he is 100% lagit across the board .. we are basically talking about pac being bigger then Ali if his progression is natural. Huge !!

There are plenty of Mexican fighter that started boxing as teenagers at this weight and not one has ever moved up to welter weight. No one has ever done this ever!!!

This is'nt the first time that a fighter has asked another for testing outside the commision mandate.......

Mike Tyson asked for additional tests of Evander Holyfield as a stipulation for their rematch.....
    ....read the link and weep!!!

    http://books.google.com/books?id=yfjzsb7BASMC&pg=PT91&lpg=PT91&dq=holyfield+tyson+steroid+test&source=bl&ots=mScmOKIw-0&sig=zSFJuU3AY6EOZ_Yh9qxNHMKo7tw&hl=en&ei=rydBS8-1M46RlAe9zoAY&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=7&ved=0CB4Q6AEwBg#v=onepage&q=holyfield%20tyson%20steroid%20test&f=false

Thats how someone doubting that you're clean is handled!!!:deal:deal:deal:deal

    hmm says . . .

"This is the reason I want to get out of boxing, I don't want to be around it no more. Everybody wants to get in for some reason. I don't know why. They think it's glorious or something, but I wish I could get out of this sport."

TA is alright at times but I'm getting tired of his ass...

He asked for one test and the result wasn't revealed until after the fight.

He wasn't asking for an unknown number of random blood tests. Duh.

If you read that whole Atlas interview, he does believe that boxing's current testing is outdated, and should be updated.

This controversy should open every boxing commision's eyes to do something to implement better testing.
I certainly understand that the commsions also must look at the testing from a financial point of view.
.....certainly it may not be financially feasible to test journeymen fighters making a few grand or less per fight.

.......but I certainly believe that something could be implemented where if any of the fighters involved in a match pays for the testing with their own purse money, these commisions should back that up by being ready to more readily test the fighters more thoroughly by more modern means.

You have my word on this Kukoy, any fighter that rejects being tested, I will not back up......any fighter!!!!

The article does'nt say how many tests were given....but that being said, Tyson asked for the best available test at the time.......that was many moons ago....

......testing, and athletes trying to work around that testing has evolved.....I"m sure that if the Holyfield-Tyson rematch were to be fought today, Tyson would ask for the same type of testing that Mayweather is asking of Pacquiao.

Very little intelligent conversation goes on here. Too much name calling and disrespect to each other, fighters, and people we don't even know, it's crazy.
Floyd must really be an amazing fighter who arrogance has cause many of you not only to hate him, but wager hard earned currency against him. It really blinds you to the truth. His skill set is phenomenal. He's practically MASTERED the sweet science. Boxing is like chess, you must be able to inflict more damage on your opponent than he can inflict on you. You must hit him while minimalizing his return fire. On this level, Mayweather has NO EQUAL. Any fighter has a punchers chance, but that's it, plain and simple. He has every right to demand PROOF that his opponent has not stacked the deck, his undefeated career, health, future, and life are potentiall at stake.
Finally, Manny is fighting somebody who was defeated by someone he just pummeled into submission. This is okay with you all. I think PAC's making a huge mistake though. Everyone has a punchers chance, and Clottey is no JOKE. I wonder what everyone will say, if by some twist of fate, Manny winds up getting beat...

I guess you didn't even read your own link huh? It was one test and Evander took the test on one condition, that the result wasn't revealed until after the fight.

Yea ok, now you're reaching and saying that Tyson would demand Olympic style drug tests of Evander too if it were today.

Rationalize much? What suddenly happened to instantly make urine analysis inferior to these stalwarts of anti-doping ethics of ESB?

Meanwhile a fight boxing needed is not going to happen. Yuri Foreman, Clottey--everyone wanted Pac vs Floyd, and now it may not happen. For the sport, a good fight between the two of them would have gotten boxing into spotlight for a night, and in week leading ot fight. Even if whoever you or I wanted did not win, a good fight between the two is what we needed. It's somethng everyone is overlooking.

A very interesting dissect of Teddy Atlas statement:

He can take a shower as many times as he wants but the dirt will not fall off his skin. He belittles the internet and yet he preaches about his belief that the so-called email is genuine and real. If he really understands his thing, he could’ve realized that emails are products of the internet and anybody can make an account, write something and send them to anybody with these and that allegations. Anybody with an understanding of how the internet works should take this kind of allegation as nothing but garbage.

If these alleged emails really exist and that they really came from Team Pacquiao and knowing that there is no love lost between the two camps, they should have come up and showed them to us by now. It’s a known fact that emails can easily be traced to the IP address from where it originated. Thus, these emails simply don’t exist but are, rather, just another black propaganda concocted by people with sinister minds.

In answer to the question, “Why would the Pacquiao people be so stupid to send out such an email?”

Here’s what Teddy Atlas had to say-

“I don’t think he has any rocket scientists around his group. You ever watch 24/7? (laughs) I mean none of these guys have rocket scientists around them. That’s all I can say. It seems on the surface like a very stupid thing to do, to obviously have a record of something that can be incriminating or potentially look as though there’s something that leads towards something inappropriate by even asking such a question? Yeah, I agree. And that was the first thing I asked. Why would somebody be so stupid to leave a paper trail on that? But yeah, these people that are around boxing, both as writers, both on the internet, both as people who get to hang around the camp and wind up becoming people that are involved in their careers, they’re not rocket scientists and it just makes me sick.”

Again this makes me laugh really hard.

Obviously, Teddy Atlas has a very low regard with regards to the intelligence of the people on Team Pacquiao as he believes that these people are nothing but a bunch of idiots because they are stupid enough to send incriminating emails to the other side of the fence.

If there is a study in contradiction, it would be Teddy Atlas. He says one thing and does another. He says things as if he is an expert yet his idea of what he is talking about is vague.

I am now beginning to suspect that Teddy Atlas really has no idea what an email is and that he isn’t computer literate at all.

Let me just cite two things in this case-

If he believes that the internet is full of graffiti and dirt, how come he believes an email that is the product of the internet? If he believes that the people in Team Pacquiao are not rocket scientists but are stupid, how come he buys the thinking that they are capable of giving Manny Pacquiao performance- enhancing drugs like hGHs and steroids?

The joke is on Teddy Atlas here and everybody is laughing but himself. Oh, how gullible and silly of him to be peddling this kind of nonsense that should have been confined to the gossip section of National Enquirer where it should be.

As they say in America, show me the money err the emails in this case if it really does exist. Otherwise, he should just keep his mouth shut to spare him of being labeled as a fool.
