will make a great fight. but ideally i would like pavlik to win all the belts and defend once or twice and any lee to fight on all his undercards, to really build the hype.

then in say, 18 months, they can collide in a big middleweight match up.

it also wont be too bad for the loser because if it's pavlik, he would be close to moving up to 168 by then anyway, and if it's andy lee, well he can chalk it up as experience since pavlik has a lot more top level fight experience at the moment.

i don't want to see a loser myself since i am a fan of both

Despite the Manny Steward hype train Lee ain't got no business worrying about Pavlik yet.

Hell, lets see how he'd fare against say a....top50 middleweight or so, let alone the top guy.

Signing a deal with Pavlik's promoter does seem to indicate the obvious.

Now if Top Rank does its job and keeps Lee active and on t.v, especially Pavlik's bouts, than come 2010 we could possibly see the biggest middleweight match in years.

I think there are guys in the current WBC top 10 that Andy Lee could beat tonight. Sergio Mora is #8 for christ sake! Match him with somebody like Mora, and then bring in a genuine tough guy like Zuniga. If he wins, feed him to "The Ghost":hey

I hope they don't put him in too quickly, he's got less than half the professional fights that Pavlik has. With Pavliks brutality you don't want your fighter to not be ready.

I seen him in Chicago last year but he stopped the guy in the first round so i couldn't judge him properly.Lee and Steward stayed for an hour after the card was over talking to fans and signing autographs.

I think Lee will stop Vera in 5 or 6 rounds

Yep, to soon and you get get a re-run of Roberto Duran/Davey Moore. It would be a shame to see a prospect as promising as Lee get destroyed permanently.
