If that's true then it's a shame. So many bizarre tales circulating about Laing, hope he got to have a puff of his preferred smoke before he passed :rasta Talented fighter. Erratic performer. No one can take the solid victory over Duran off of him. Duran wasn't at his best but Laing still put it together. He has been remembered for that night for years as it is, and will continue to be I'm sure.
Yes. I was in two minds about pòsting this. I was worried in case it was incorrect news but I was also worried that he's been passed 3 days now and it's just slipped under the radar, nobody remembering him. It was first reported by the Brighton ex boxers, then the London ex boxers and the Sunderland ex boxers have just posted it on facebook.
R.I.P. if true,Kirkland. A shame that his natural flair was n't matched by his self discipline. We'd have been talking world champ,for sure,if that had been the case.
Any word on whether this is true yet?? If it is then I'd be gutted great great fighter and great guy so sorry if its true - will do some digging a he's from my local city so will see what I can find out
